I'm guessing that the Makita LXT dual-battery 9 inch cutoff saw wasn't yet released when you did this review 4 years ago. I'd be curious to see how you guys think it stacks up against the others. Great review though! I need to do a couple projects that require me to cut through some concrete slabs, and I've been looking at these cut off saws. Your review was, as always, very helpful!

Since you use the XGT daily - what’s your thoughts on the e-clutch on the drill? I’ve generally found e-clutches not useful for carpentry.
@ConcordCarpenterКүн бұрын
I’m not sure if mine is turned on, I have definitely have not encountered it drilling. I will say that when chucking a bit you have to be careful because the torque on the drill is powerful.

Run time (Eco and full speed) on largest battery? Price for bare unit? Price with 2 of their largest batteries and a charger?

Another awesome tool by Milwaukee. Purchased it as a combo (included rapid charger, & 1 High Output XC 6.0 battery) from HD for $299. Live in Florida, & it’s already paid for itself by taking down a dying 12-13 foot palm tree. Effortlessly cut through its 10” wide trunk making nice logs for the fire pit. Also perfect for trimming palm fronds, bushes, & even cutting down palm trees. Great value, & one of the most used in a growing collection of Milwaukee tools.

So the Ego and the Ryobi are the same price, but the Ego cuts almost 2x more grass per charge, and only requires charging one battery. And more battery life today means more battery life in the future as the battery fails. Ego cuts more, is less annoying, and will last longer. Sounds like Ryobi gets killed here!

This is possibly an odd question but I have an acrylic paint + primer that’s been opened and now I need to finish painting the room by doing the ceiling. What thinner should I use for that? I heard the options for oil based paint and latex paint.

The ranking should be: Dewalt (11 pts), Hitachi (12 pts), Makita (15 pts), Skillsaw (16 pts), Sawstop (20 pts), Delta and Bosch (21 pts), Ridgid (22 pts) with the proper way of scoring as the system used by the Toolbox team is biased, heavily favoring Precision/Accuracy and Ergonomics over Price and Performance. Due to ties, P/A and Ergonomics cap out at 5 points while Price and Performance cap out at 7-8 points. In sports, when there is a tie, the next player is ranked as if all the tied positions were filled. For instance, in P/A where Dewalt and Bosch received a tie of 3, Delta should have receive a 5 as positions 3 and 4 are already filled by Dewalt and Bosch. This way all categories are scored from 1-8 and the results are as above.

Can you convert a vented attic into an encapsulated attic? Should you worry about “roof leaks”? I saw ok other videos talking about closed cell foam hiding roof leaks from asphalt shingle roof
@ConcordCarpenter5 күн бұрын
You can, and you should always be careful for roof leaks. I always suggest installing a new 30 year roof with a redundant layer of ice and water shield under it

Great video thxs for taking the time to put it together. I bought the Super charger for the cell balancing technology on it. To me it’s worth the extra cost if my batteries are being charged and protected. Batteries are so expensive you want to get as long life as possible out of them. Super charger pays for itself overtime the way I see it. Milwaukee ❤
