You're not screwing it on too tight! I put the washer that goes on top of the blades back on upside down. It pushes the blades too hard against the rotating mechanism making it inoperable. Loosening it will get it working, but your blades might fly off. If you place the washer on correctly, it can't be "too tight."

OK, a follow up from my comments made 29 May 2023. I called EGO and they asked me to describe the problems I was having. I explained that the lawn mower simply would not start. It would only make a clicking noise when I engaged the start keys. The battery was fully charged (5 green lights) and yet it wouldn't spin the blades. Only a day earlier I had taken the mower to my son's house and mowed his yard - no problem then. But once I got it home it wouldn't start again. Anyway, I called EGO and explained my problem, and since it was only 14 months old, they gave me an EGO "Service Referral" form and told me to bring it back to LOWEs where I had originally bought it. So I brought the mower back to LOWE's for repair. THEN, a day later they called me and said come into the store they will it. The problem was electrical, but wouldn't say what exactly, (probably one of the 3 relays) and it would take months to get the electrical parts from China! So they decided to refund me the full cost of the lawnmower, then let me buy a new one which was fine with me. So I have a new EGO LM2130SP and they ! 😀😃😄 So now I have a new mower, two batteries, two chargers, two baggers, and another set of mower blades! Moral of the story - save your receipts!!!! And your EGO products! Thanks y'all!

Nice, glad it worked out, weird issue & would think this would be in the manual, torquing note. Here's my current issue, not the same but similar: (LM2130SP, purchased Feb2021): No issues in 2021...in 2022 it simply cuts off while cutting. It appears to run for approx. 20 minutes then it shuts off and won't restart (Battery goes through 1 to 2 led indicator lights). But it will restart after some rest time: 15 minute rest, it will run for about 2 min. 45 minute rest, it will run for 10 minutes or so. Mind you I only took note of these types of times just once before taking it in. And I'm not cutting through overgrown grass here, I'm bagging very little clippings, probably even shorter than the 1/3 rule this time of year. The underdeck is clean, nothing there. Did this to me on 3 separate consecutive occasions this season (Mar/Apr 2022). It's not the battery, as I have swapped batteries and both work fine in the second piece of equipment (string trimmer). Also, nothing appears to be hot as for as I can tell and nothing out of the ordinary happens before or after, it just shuts off. I called EGO and they referred to me to their authorized warranty center (an hour away). I turned it in on 20 Apr and explained what it was doing to me. I called them today (27Apr) and they can't seem to replicate my issue. Which I was afraid of. The associate I spoke with said they went through several batteries and been going back and forth with EGO regarding my issue. But if they can't replicate what's happening with me not sure what else can be done. I guess, they are talking with EGO to see if any other customers are having similar issues this this lawnmower.

Wow, what a saga. The only other thing that came to mind is possibly a shorted wire somewhere, but I'm sure they have checked for that possibility. Would love to know if they eventually figure it out.

@@GirLzLawn will update...I just wanted to share to see if anyone had my issue...will update.
@wiredawg20052 жыл бұрын
Today (6 May), I received a call and they said they could not replicate the issue. They ran it through 6 charges and took it out back to cut grass and it operated fine. No control board issues, no wiring or mechanical issues they could find. I picked it up today and will see what happens. The tech did say about the only thing they did was clean out the grassy debris inside the casing, (I did not open anything, did not want to compromise the warranty), and they did say it had a lot of debris in there. My only guess was the debris build-up (grassy clipping, dust/fine dirt) was causing the mower to shut down, maybe the air flow became too restricted and the control board told it to stop, only guessing here. I keep it clean, blow it and wipe it down after every cut to include the undercarriage. But there's no way to check the inside unless one opens these areas...I simply did not want to compromise the warranty. I guess, I'll see how it runs here on out...

@@GirLzLawn Update 23 Feb2023: It's doing it again, yesterday my Ego just kept stalling on me. It did the same the week before, but I was able to finish my intended cut. I thought opening it up and blowing/vacuuming out the grassy debris from the inside casing would fix this stalling problem. Recap, I got it back last May & for the most part, it ran all season for the rest of 2022, it did stall on me on 1 Oct. I opened the top casing, blew out the debris and used it two more times, 19 Nov was my last cut for the season, this seem to resolve my stalling issues. Fast forward to present, Feb 4 & 5 did some yard clean-up mostly just putting up old dead grass, cutting/bagging using level-2 and then level-1 setting on the following day. It did stall on me the second day, I opened it and there was a good amount of debris (brown dead grass), cleaned it and finished up. But I went to cut yesterday and it just kept stalling after running a few minutes at a time. Opened it again, but this time not much there, clean it again. But this time I am still having stalling issues. My next step is to remove more of the casing/mower just to see if anything else stands out and check the contacts. I'm starting to hate this $600 electric mower. Luckily, I decided to hold on to my 15-year Craftsman (Briggs & Straton Engine) mower, it still works. It's not as convenient, but it works. And yet to zero results in finding others with this specific issue along with fix action(s). I can't be the only one with this issue.
