My only regret with my Ego mower/edger is not getting them sooner - a real back-saving duo. Which makes the multi-head attachment look that much more tempting to get. Especially the dethatching function which is new to me. Thanks again KA

Hey, did you ever do a follow up to show how the grass came in? I have the power head & will have the cultivator head soon & want to re-do my small back lawn & am curious how well it did using the cultivator then mower to suck up all the thatch, etc...

Very cool, purchased the sweeping attachment becuase I’ve seen a lot of people put videos up of it being used as a dethatcher. Also because I can use it to sweep off snow when it’s just not enough for my snow blower on the driveway!

I love the cultivator. Not really an aerator though but I"ve used if similarly. The brush is my dethatcher but I only have about 1500 sq ft . For a big yard you need a real dethatcher because it will wear out your arms.

On the cultivator, looks powerful enough but how well would it handle just straight up packed in, clay soils?
@gtaus13 жыл бұрын
Great video on the cultivator attachment and it's many uses. I have both the Ryobi 18v and 40v powerheads, and they both work great with the mini cultivator attachment. You just have to know the limits of your tools and the project that needs to be done. The mini cultivator is great for many small jobs around the house, but I still have a big walk behind gas tiller for breaking up sod or working up large areas. A stand alone trimmer may have more power than a powerhead of the same brand, but the powerhead has the great advantage of using all those specialty attachments. My Ryobi 40v powerhead provides about 80% the power of my gas trimmer powerhead, but that is good enough for the small jobs I need to get done. The big disadvantage with the battery powerheads is the run time using the mini cultivator. It really eats up the battery fast. Maybe better runtime on the Ego, but I'm glad I have lots of batteries for my Ryobi tools.
@Kitearmy3 жыл бұрын
I was surprised at the run time on the smallest 2.5Ah battery - about 40min

Are you just putting zero downward pressure on it to dethatch or do you have to lift slightly to not destroy the lawn? Using my edger attachment it seems to have a lot of weight on the attachment end and this looks to weight much more. Thanks
@Kitearmy3 жыл бұрын
It is heavy - most of it is metal (which makes it feel indistructable) but I feel that I can easily control the depth on the lawn.
