Yes, Mahmoud. Some of the footage can be dated fairly precisely to the late 1960s when the Abu Simbel temples were moved to their new concrete domes. But other parts may have been a little earlier.

True, but I think Cairo looks better today (2022) than it did twenty years ago. The authorities are doing a pretty good job at removing slums and restoring historic areas of the city. Unfortunately I think they waited too long, so there is still a lot of work to be done.
