Egypt Airport encounter, We got ripped off?

As an Egyptian I apologize for what happened. It's shameful. Whenever I go to the airport in Egypt I use Uber. They can't overcharge. It has a dedicated stop at the airport parking lot. You can use the free WIFI to book it and you can also buy a SIM card from the airport in you need data. You can also use Uber instead of taxi as taxis might hike prices. Uber can't.

Thank you! I did use Careem/Uber during our stay there and it was like standard rate I could say (the maximum I usually got from the app is like around 200 egp and those are like 30 to 40mins away). That time, it was like around 9pm already and yeah we did try connecting the airport WiFi but nothing works. as you can see on the video, we’re near to the Telco company already to get a sim card and we’re about to lineup and this happened.

​@@Planet_Xplorer حق ايه!!! مطار مصر بخدماته من افضل المطارات ، مصر نفسها بيسافروا لها لانها رخيصة ،بلاش عقدة الخواجة ومندوب شركة التوصيل وضح له ان كله رسمي ً يعني مفيش نصب ، واللي مش عاجبه يتفضل ميجيش تاني ، اصلا المواطن المصري من الطبقة المتوسطة العليا بيصرف اكتر ما هم بيصرفوا في مصر ، بلاش تقللوا من نفسكم.

Please only use UBER when in Egypt. That's the best option that ensures you're not being scammed.

@@nabilsadek6189 فيه ناس في الدنيا في أي مكان في العالم بتعمل اللي بتعملوه في المطارات 6 و 9 نقاط تفتيش وتفتيش في كل مكان ناقص الحمام بس والمخبرين اللي متسرحين في المطار يستفردوا بالناس ويبتزوهم الوضعية الطبيعية في اي مطار هو مكتب بيتختم فيه عالباسبور بعد كده لغاية باب الخروج مفيش اي نقطة تفتيش لدرجة انك ممكن تفضل رايح جاي وده الطبيعي مش انجاز يعني وللسبب ده بينمعوا فيز الترانيزت لان مجرد بلوغ مطار بلد فالهروب منه سهل جدا لان مفيش ال خ ر ه اللي عندكم انتم صنف من البشر ميستحقش غير الح رق

It is one of our list to visit though and I agree, some people makes the country look bad but it is still an amazing country with those famous historical landmark, museums (we just read from the books before). We just came here in the wrong time, though lol. It is very hot in Egypt this time. hehehe

be4 u travel u have to watch others experiences,,,or just make alive video to ask egyptian about egypt,,,easily 1st thing 2 get vodafone cellphone,,then charge intenet,,then use uber and booking
