@@BenjiAroundTheWorld we left in 1967 and I’ve visited twice once in 1979 and once in 1995. Maybe growing up in another country gives me a different perspective but I find it difficult to understand how people in Egypt seem to have a sense of entitlement.

My recommendation to not get sick is to stay AWAY from any street food. There's dozens of times I've witnessed cross contamination and ppl not washing hands prior to handling food. Cleaning, touching money and then making your food all with the same contaminated hands. It doesn't matter if your eating vegetables or cooked food, if the ppl making the food are not practicing normal/standard sanitary practices.
