Wow, Egypt! That must have been a special one. It's a country I've always wanted to visit. That was soo cool the guide collecting wild edibles on the trail. I appreciate that you went to the other high point just in case. They were both beautifull. Also cool that you were rewarded with a traditional meal after your hike. Great use of music in this video too. Loved it!

How long was ascent and descend? What is the total climb in meters?

I climbed on a circular route from Saint Catherine at around 1580m. Mostly climbing uphill.. ~1200m ascent. A few variations on the route possible, GPS or equivalent certainly needed as its isolated and on a feint trail over more steeper rocky sections. Should be a comfortable 3-4 hours to both summits and similar time back down depending on route. There are many photo and video opportunities along the route but as always it depends on individual fitness. More info on my website for this climb..
