For me, it's great to have my own room in the train, no matter how good or bad the facilities are; The scenery along the road is really dreamy, and the interesting thing is that there are people running and exercising on the train aisle; Thank you for taking me on the train with you, looking forward to the next video to the pyramids, thanks for sharing!👍😃👏 對我來說,火車內有自己的房間已經很棒,不管它裡面的設施好壞; 沿路的風景真是夢幻,有趣的是火車走道上竟然有人在跑步及運動; 謝謝你們帶我一起搭火車,非常期待下次的金字塔之旅,謝謝分享!

As Egyptians, We don't actually call it first class train but just sleeper train cuz we take it for long distinations such as Aswan and Luxor and that's it (first class sounds so fancy when the train is not) And the fees compared to what actually first class cost is way cheaper. Love from Egypt ❤️❤️

More than 10 years ago we also traveled by train in Egypt. Our first trip was from Luxor to Aswan, first class. I remember there was also an armed guard (sec maybe) in our train car, and of course he slept along the way.😉 Our other trip from Alexandria to Cairo in a second class train car. In both cases there were significant delays. We almost missed our plane in Cairo because of this. But the taxi guy saved the day, went to the airport like an atomic flash. Nice memory... 🤗 Btw, cool vlog, guys!🤙

The sleeper train looked exactly like ours from 40 years ago Cairo to Luxor but we had to wait 3 days to get on. Spent that time in Alexandria at the Cecil Hotel. Egyptian people were/are very friendly wanting to know about America.

OMG, I was getting claustrophobia just watching u guys on the train. All that bread and the guy running up and down the hallway as Carol intently studied get phone. The hotel with camels right outside should be very "fragrant" when u open the window.'🤣🤣 🤣🤣.Rather you than me on this part of the trip, guys! Love all your videos. You are real and honest and travel in a similar style as me. I also love Carol’s increasing input into the videos. She is such a beauty and a joy. Added to Chris’s matter-of-fact observations based in background research, it is an unbeatable combination..and each video gets better. Thanks so much for all you do to promote the real adventure of travel.

Would advise all travellers to forget about the sleeper trains unless you have big bucks to blow, even then they could be better put to use. We travelled from Cairo to Luxor in the First Sitting AC Coach for the equivalent of USD 7 Per person. Booking is easily possible 15 Days Prior to your journey date on the Egyptian national railways site. The train was new and clean & on schedule.

Your Luxor-Aswan cruise seemed to be the more astheticly pleasing transport to take in the Nile but do you think the Aswan-Giza train was worth the $80? At least your cabin lights and AC seemed to work in your boat cabin and the window was clean- unlike your train acomodations. I'm glad you got the chance to relax in the colorful and CLEAN Nubian village and soak in the Nile at Elephantine Island because I doubt you'll get to do much relaxing in the grimy and not-so-clean Giza streets- and I'm not so sure you'd be eager to swim the Nile at this part of its course! A most interesting travelogue and I'm very happy you two had each other to boost your morale instead of having to ride the train alone! Great job and I'm looking forward to your pyramid (and Sphinx?) exploring!
