Recent official data revealed that the value of the Egyptian government’s foreign debts due to be repaid amounts to about $29.229 billion during the next year 2024. According to a report on the external situation of the Egyptian economy issued by the Central Bank of Egypt, this value includes interest payments amounting to $6.312 billion, and debt installments estimated at about $22.917 billion. According to the report, it requires payment of about $14.595 billion during the first half of 2024, while it is expected to pay about $14.634 billion during the second half of the same year.
