I have been following you since your Egypt videos. I found you when I was preparing for a trip to Egypt (to meet my future husband for the first time). I wanted to know what to expect so I searched Egypt travel. I found a few vlogs I liked, but you both quickly became my favorite travel vloggers. I have REALLY loved following your journey on the Pan American highway and can't wait to see your next adventure. Thank you for all the hard work you put into giving us such amazing videos. I wish you both all the luck and the happiest life

I envy you, I only was in Egypt for a week over 20 years ago, so didn’t see the beaches or Red Sea. I was on a tour and went to the Giza Plateau, also saw the museum there near one of the pyramids with the boat they had put back together. Also got to go to Saqqara to see the step pyramids and temple there. Did you go there? I also did a Nile Cruise and we made stops at the temple along the way which were so amazingly intact. Stayed in Aswan a few nights and got to take a felucca sail boat ride past the cataracts in the river, saw Aswan Dam and the beautiful Philae Temple which also got relocated - like Abu Simbel (which I also saw) - when the Aswan dam was built. And saw the old Cairo Museum. Was there in February when it wasn’t very hot and actually cold at night. I’d like to go back. Thanks for your video.

Sounds like you had quite a trip! We didn't go to Saqqara, going to put it on the list for next time. In 2012 we also went to Egypt for a scuba diving cruise, which was really amazing. The Nile cruise was probably our favorite part, along with all the great foods we had. We'd love to go and see the new museum in Cairo, probably looks way better than the old one.

We did it without a guide, but getting a guide is a really good option. Egyptian sellers and wannabe guides onsite can be a bit pushy. I (Naick) went to the pyramids in 2014 and again in 2018 and the hotel we stayed at wouldn't let us go without a guide, because they figured we would have a bad time getting harassed by people trying to sell you stuff. Personally, I would go with a guide, because you learn so much about the pyramids.
