Enjoy watching a master handler at work in his profession, thank you Jim and all your team for the dedication in your venom extraction and research.

It is amazing that you are able to take care of so many of these reptiles. Since these reptiles are from all over the world and have their own functional adjustments to adjust with their designated environment. To give these reptiles which are from from all over the world comfort and care and to make them feel like they are at home is definitely an amazing feat.

Is there any noticeable difference in venom or behavior between the different localities of N. haje?

How did you lose those fingers if you don't mind my asking?
@kyreptilezoo

Jim lost his forefinger because it was crushed in a weightlifting bench. His thumb is a bit shorter from a kickboxing injury. Most people do assume it was snakes though!

I wonder how many times the snake handler has been bitten before.
@kyreptilezoo

In 48 years of extracting snakes, sometimes up to 1000 individuals in a week, he's been bitten 15 times. Worth noting that any visible damage to his fingers has been from weight lifting and kickboxing, not snakes!

Yall should invest in boards to go along the bottoms of everything in that room so the snakes can't go under the containers,etc

We have done that in other rooms (especially with mambas!), or we sometimes have temporary set ups to block underneath the racks. It's definitely a downside to having enclosures on wheels instead of flat on the ground.

You got the scientific name of the egyptian cobra completely wrong, its correct scientific name is actually Uraeus haje.

Watch several Bill Haast videos and he never milked a snake's like that he said it was very harmful to push in on the venom glands like that? Consider other venom snake extractors why are you so extremely rough with your snakes? Hard to watch this.

I’m sorry, but there are flaws, in the way this handler is handling the snakes, main one is, is peaking when taking the snake out, this is dangerous the way he picks the snakes from above. The snake can strike at speed straight to his face, considering these snakes averaging 6ft they can strike within the 2ft, the handler’s not even 2ft away, easy strike for a snake at any moment when he opens that tray, death wish I call it! Be safe! Excellent videos though, and well done! 🫡👍
