I would be so worried about lack of control and crashing with this drone, but its nice to see a company that develop somthing different and not copy what other already have

Lars the thing flies surprisingly well, as you say there is a bit of the feeling of lack of control not having sticks, however once you get comfortable with the phone control, its surprisingly un-dramatic.

I'm in the market for my first drone and this looks cool. It seems super loud in your video! Is that about average for all drones or are their quieter models? not trying to be stealthy, but I'd hate to annoy my neighbors or startle wildlife.

This is way louder than my Phantom 4, I would look into that or maybe the Phantom 3 if you do not want to spend the money

Well I have only tried the Ghost Drone in FPV and I am not the best, but it did look cool. P3 would definitely be easier to fly because of the controller rather than phone.

how are the goggles compared to fatshark .. how is the quality of them? any lags ? and what about distance? is easy to fly with goggles on ? thx lot of questions

Never tried fatshark so cannot compare, they look decent though. Nothing spectacular, but good enough for the price. It is pretty hard to fly with goggles on, I found myself leaving the goggles around my neck and looking at them when I need to see the camera

Hey Onno VDG, the goggles are about 30deg fov, the plastic frame is a ok fit but not perfect for my forehead, I did a unbox and have a couple shots of what is visible in the goggle.

Hi, I was wondering if you had any issues mechanical or with signal or strange behavior. i have been following Ehang since their crowd funding campaign over a year ago but I could never pull the trigger. The 2.0 VR appears to be a good machine. How is the image from the camera? Do you have another machine like a Phantom or Typhoon to compare it to in terms of reliability, quality of build and features. Have you used the customer service that apparently is one year no questions asked? Will this work with the nVidia Shield Tablet?

Image from the camera are pretty good. It is stuck at recording in 4k, you can't change the settings. I have the Phantom 4 and honestly like the P4 better.. but it is 500$ more

+MarblProductions Interesting. That's rather odd. are there any white balance and ISO settings? It sounds like waiting until the price drops a bit more may be a good decision, because like you said you can definitely get a better camera platform in the Phantom series or the Yuneec line.

No camera settings to speak of. All have to be done in post processing. I am sure the price will drop in a few months, P4 will as well when the P5 comes out.

I bought a 5.8ghz monitor and it works perfectly with the drone for fpv. the range is not great though.

how did you get rid of the pre flight failure box that comes up on screen all the time it says preflight check failed please place drone horizontal on ground and try again . I keep getting that message no mater how many times i place it on ground and the only way to get rid of it is turn off drone then turn back on and its gone but then you have to re calibrate and when you do it comes back lol any answers ?

Well, when I first started the drone up, they prompted me to complete a first flight check. I clicked yes and it flew up in the air and did a bunch of calibration stuff.

ahh ok well i bought the drone off a friend who said he only flew it once and its brand new he showed me the receipt well maybe he did something or dident do something ill see what happens when i launch it for the first time but its hard to put a way point with that box in the way

but i think your right maybe he just flew it once took off then landed but if he did then it should of done a preflight check so ill see what happens after i launch it and see if it corrects its self thanks for the info, at least its a place to start.

Hi, because i see that you have ghost drone 2 I decide to contact with you. I justice buy my drone and try to connect it to iOS (iPhone) but I have some connectivity problem "no internet connection". I've tried to restart Gbox and drone to instal and uninstall the app several times but without success ;( please HELP ;( if you know what to do. Ps: I have Ariel version.

My thoughts exactly. That is one of the main reasons I just upgraded to the DJI Mavic Pro. I was tired of struggling to fly the drone while wearing the goggles. Not to mention, the DJI Mavic allows me to do a lot more. But definitely a great beginner drone to learn and get comfortable flying.

I am fascinated by people who really stress the "t" and then turn softer vowels into a short "i" sound in words like "kitten" and "button" so it sounds like "ki-tin" and "buh-tin". It's always intrigued me for some reason. :P Not in a bad grammar nazi kind of way, though. In fact, if I hear a woman pronounce words that way, it's actually kind of a turn on to me. But, not you, though, dude. Sorry. heheheheh ;) :P Just an interesting observation. No snark intended. :) What a great vid! Awesome explanation of the use and functionality of the drone. I would totally buy this drone based solely on this review. Thanks for your hard work! Peace. :)

yes, very bad to be honest. the drone would follow, level, then follow, level. which made the shot look staggered

Flight time claims to be 25 minutes, however I have had some issues with my Ghostdrone with the flight time. For some reason I can only get the batteries to charge to 87% and the flight time diminishes so quick i typically only get 10-15 minutes out the battery. Could just be a fluke battery i guess. It does take pretty good footage tho, I made a a footage compilation video with the drone in Various parts of San Diego, if you wanted to check out the footage quality. .
