Let USA abolish H1B and see how those IT firms can run with only all Americans, can they afford to pay high salaries and accept low productivity? Employers want low cost labour and high productivity. It will be good for India. It stops brain drain. Many more IT firms like Flipkart, Phonepe, Freshworks, etc will start in India and they provide more employment to Indians locally. Only way Indian H1Bs to survive further is - to accept the revocation of H4 EAD work permit. That will atleast create some jobs during this recession in US for US citizens and every one will calm down. The H4 EADS are definitely misused by Indians. I don’t think rahul is hundred percent right on this. I met Vivek ramaswamy personally, he said he wants to shut down h1b lottery system and replace it with merit based system. Which is more needed. Trump’s administration literally advocated multiple times for skill based points based immigration system. Any full time employee generally didn’t get any trouble in trump administration.
