Yes normally May for school offers. Doesn't give a lot of time for finding new schools! Thanks for the update 😊

We've just completed both EHCP reviews for both the twins here too, and named schools for next September. My understanding is that kids with EHCP's find out their allocated schools when their finalized EHCP is released by PCC which by 15th February next year at the latest. After that you need to decide whether to appeal within two months, and participate in a mediation process, then it goes to a tribunal if it hasn't been resolved, and PCC must go along with the finding of the tribunal. The problem is that right now the tribunal process is taking until after school start in September, so some kids have to stay at home or go to a temporary setting while it's all decided.

@jeremyjohnson1685 George’s school goes strait through to 18 so he’s fine, Matthew’s choice is just a mainstream so presume we will have to wait until May , the amount of kids I know who’ve had to be home while authorities sort out their placements is a joke Jeremy, such a poor system. ALL children have a legal right to an education

@@AutismTwinsUs I don't think so, it should be named on his EHCP so out by February? We're similar to you, as usual, M is in a mainstream primary having transitioned from a SEN space within the school so mum has named a mainstream secondary in central Plymouth which he should get automatically as he has an EHCP and it's a feeder school for his primary, but V's current school is a primary only special school so he has to move next September. His mum has put down an independent special school which has very limited places, plus it's quite expensive and PCC aren't going to be keen to place him there so watch this space!

Matthew reminds me of myself. So proud of how well you are doing in school Matthew. I see Matthews need to decompress when he's home for me it's the delayed processing that frustrates me because I feel like I am not getting the response I expect.

Yes it’s hard for him to, we need to find some middle ground to gaming somehow as that’s what isn’t helping , he masks all Day in school which we understand as it’s a way to fit in but then when he comes home it all unravels normally whilst gaming ! Certainly don’t want to punish him playing his friends etc but there is a fine line , thanks for your comment Nathan

@@AutismTwinsUs if you have an area Matthew can go after school that is quiet it could really help him decompress after school not the living room kinda thing.

Children with autism can be calm in school and let out there stress at home

That’s what Matthews does , masks in school and unravels at home
