Sucks! It doesn't plug in. Plug in ones to the wall last much longer without having to stress or look weather your batteries are low. I guess we cant keep stuff or produce stuff that is economical to the public. "Oh it plugs in and last forever. we need to change that to something someone has to spend AlOT of money on." i HAVE HAD MY INTELLI FEED FOR OVER 10 YEARS WONDERFUL PRODUCT AND NOW A SHIT PRODUCT. :/

TRY THIS IF IT DOESN'T ROTATE. I just had an issue with this feeder where it fell into the tank. I dried it out and it wouldn't do a full rotation. I looked inside and found that the gears were full of dried food. I cleaned them and used canned air to clear them. It works again!

The same instructions also work on the national geographic automatic fish feeder. Thank goodness... bc when I changed batteries recently couldn't figure out why my set times weren't working.... arrows! My fish will be better fed now.

You can reset this by taking out the batteries and waiting a minute before you put them back in. Also before you use it, punch the button with the feeder over a plate and see how much food comes out. Then you can adjust the size of the opening. This is a great feeder but I wish it weren’t so complicated.

I just found out about the arrows a year later trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with the tank. Fish weren't getting enough feeding. Video is definitely better than instructions. Time to start restocking the tank.

There needs to be a master On/Off switch. If you use this for vacations only, it is a pain to go through the programming to remove the arrows. Also, I have this on a small guppy tank and have the opening open "two clicks". Once the rotation is complete, the opening has moved to "one click". I had to put tape on it. Finally, you CANNOT use it by just letting it rest on the four pads. The entire unit moves around a little during the rotation process and could end up not over the tank (or in the tank!). Must be why mine included two velcro pads to prevent that.

Mine fell in the aquarium....I have a Fix!!! 1. Quickly grab it and separate parts kn sink and shake water out 2. Grab paper towels and Qtios to continually shake, dab and dry 3. Continue 2 very quickly 4. Empty batteries and take off lid 5. Bury top pod in zip lock bag of rice

Hey! Thanks for the vid! How long is the longest youve left home with this on? Ill need to travel for about 5-6 weeks and a sitter isnt an option, but im concerned about my dry pellets becoming spoilt as i live in a humid city+ the tank moisture. A friend should drop in once for a quick water change but that's about it so I'm trying to find a reliable product

I use this to feed my fish 100 percent of the time. So being away for a month or two is no problem. Just make sure you have fresh batteries (I change mine 2 times a year, though I could probably get away with less), and make sure you have enough food in the chamber for that amount of time. Flakes need to be broken up into small pieces to not clog to hole. Set it up and run for a couple weeks before you go to make sure it is feeding the fish the proper amount at the proper times.

This device has a bug in low batt. sensing. Fast batts replacement won't work.When you try replace old batts when "low bat" warning is on, new installed batts don't clear this warning, it's still on even on new batts (!) and device will stop feeding shortly. For proper device operation you have to remove old batts, wait till lcd fade, than install a new ones. Only in this way is possible to clear "low bat" warning.In short words, you can't repl. batt. w/o lost settings, very annoying.

Yes! I have one for my turtles and you can set it to how often you want it to feed your fish. I do mine only once a day at a set time and it has been doing that for more than 3 years with no issues! It still hasn't gotten low battery...No clue how.

It uses a 24-hour clock. So 13 :00 is 1:00 PM, etc. The first time can be any time you want.
