मैंने बंगाली में दीप ज्वेले जाई और हिन्दी में खामोशी दोनों देखी हैं । दोनों फिल्मों में सुचित्रा सेन(बंगाली) वहीदा रहमान (हिन्दी) ने अच्छा अभिनय किया है और मुझे दोनों का अभिनय अच्छा लगा फर्क इतना है दीप ज्वेले जाई( बंगाली) में 1959 में बनी और ठीक दस साल बाद खमोशी 1969 में बनी ये फिल्म बंगाली के प्रसिद्ध उपन्यास नर्स मित्रा से आधारित है जिसके लेखक आशुतोष मुकर्जी हैं ।

It was made in Telugu too in 1960 as "Chivaraku Migiledi - what (one) gets at the end". An accomplished actress of South Smt. Savitri essayed the pivotal role! The movie didn't do well at box office. Even a good print of that movie wasn't preserved! According to many Smt Savitri's performance was one of her best in that movie!
