I may sound controversial but the prices are somewhat affordable considering the cost of building per unit. But to make it affordable for the "average" Ghanaian accessible mortgage schemes through the banks and housing schemes such as rent to buy or shared ownership needs to be implemented. If not this is just another nepotistic scheme for the friends and family. From previous schemes I am highly skeptical this would see the light of the day but that is a another topic for another day.

Scanty is rating the affordability based on how much KS pays him😂. BTW I think the fact that this is substantially (and I mean substantially) less than the market price makes it affordable. I have recently been looking around and Have been quoted north of $120k for 3 B detached at Amrahia, Dodowa etc so 45k for 3B (albeit condos) I consider it affordable. My disappointment is however on the dollar denomination which I suspect it’s bcos the project is funded my private sector investors who don’t want to lose money from GHC depreciation given what happened in 2022. The real estate market in GH is absurd that why even this affordable type still doesn’t match the income of “those we call average Ghanaian”. These two’s point of view is only an uninformed view. Surprise he just wore a gown to graduate from a university!!
