Heard of QJ Motor but just Googled them - a Geely brand! Volvo, pol;estar, Lotus, London Taxis and much more. Not quite just another Cinese brand I'd thought

Not yet I’m afraid. But it it’s reasonably priced it will do very well. Hopefully the MV engine is already EU5 compliant which would make the homologation process quicker.

QJ Motor owns the Benelli brand, I can see some design cue which available in some Benelli’s in the QJ’s own line up, and sometimes QJ motor can be rebranded as Benelli in some part of the world depending the local country dealership partner.

I'm gob-smacked at how many different manufacturers you're covering. The selection of Asian bikes is absolutely amazing. Many of these newer bikes look very legitimate - the competition in this industry is really heating up.

@@PeakMotorcycles It means lack of creativity and originality. Super Sports is a mix of Ducati, BMW, and Honda, while Naked has the scent of Suzuki, Yamaha, and KTM. The Adventure appears to be largely influenced by Husqvarna, Suzuki, Honda, and BMW, while the American Cruiser is a design often seen in Harley and Kawasaki. I think it's amazing that a single manufacturer can come up with a mix of designs that seem to have been seen elsewhere in the world without a unique identity.

Maybe, but you can buy a KTM 690, a GasGas 700 and a Husqvarna 701 in Europe, and they are all essentially the same bike with different plastics.

It is. They aren't the only ones. Honda was worse... I learned the hard way from the first year I did this that the Rode Go mics that I use weren't quite enough for noisy stands and the lav mic was the only way to record. It still picks up nightclub levels of music, but it's better than the alternative.

We've got a lot of these QJ motorcycles here in the phillippines, some parts still has "Benelli" engraved on them. The SRK600 naked I tested earlier has a "benelli" engraved on the bottom of the fork. The SRT 500 I also saw still has "TRK" in between the the rider's and pillion's seat.

Benelli is just the brand name they are using to enter into new markets as benelli has been around for sometime. Everything is manufactured in China..engineered by Chinese engineers. Do you think benelli has the capability to make such bikes..they were bankrupt a long time ago...and why were they bankrupt? Did somebody rob them... no... obviously they were bankrupt due to poor sales which was due to poor quality engineering and reliability. Which is common and notorious with most European brands. Do you think benelli would have the capability to make high tech lcd screen displays. Even Ferrari sources all their lcd screens from China.

It's not an MV style exhaust, it is an MV exhaust, and an MV engine. MV Frame too and swingarm, but as QJ Motor is making the SRK1000RR using a 921CC MV motor and frame in partnership with MV, that's not much of a surprise really that they let them use the 1078cc motor and frame for the SRK1000RC. I guess you knew that?

QJMotor have a partnership with MV Agusta, so I think they develop it together and similarities are inevitable. After all, there would be little point of QJMotor working with MV Agusta if it didn't look like one.

That's because MV Agusta make the engine, frame and swingarm and are working in partnership with QJ Motor. So if you mean 'rip off' in that it's a copy, you are incorrect. It is a MV Agusta swing arm and stacked exhaust, they have made it for QJ Motor, so it's the genuine article rather than a copy. Good to know you're paying attention though 😉

Frankly the way the Chinese have monstered the EV market in just 5 years should make us all very aware that they’re a force to be reckoned with. @@AyoHuesif it helps, when I first saw it, I did think that exhaust was such a copy of MVA. Then looked around a bit more, spoke to a couple of folks and they told me more about the partnership. It’s not the flagship 1000cc engine and parts, it’s a 900cc unit that makes around 140hp. The production bike won’t be slow, but it also won’t be a direct competitor for the MV bikes. I think it’ll be placed to compete with the Suzuki GSX-8R, maybe the Yamaha R7, but I suspect it might outpace both of them. It’ll be interesting to see it when it comes to market, especially on looks and price.

@@PeakMotorcycles Look closely at the close-up shot of the SRK1000RC and you'll see that the MV logo is cast into the cylinder. Looks like it's a genuine MV article. I suppose it could be made in the QJ Motor factory if they're building engines for MV.

China is constantly cyber attacking our country’s costing us 100’s of millions, why would you buy anything from a Chinese company (yes I know most things have parts made in China, but unfortunately there’s no real choice).
