I could agree Andrew got more confident from The Great Glass Elephant to Degeneraterra, and maybe they blossomed on To Speak, To Listen, and Andrew has always been writing chaotic shreddy guitar parts for both Eidola and Dance Gavin Dance ever since the Degeneraterra era.... this song is amazing, but this band has been amazing for a while now. I am excited that maybe this means more people are going to realize how amazing this band is, because they are the best band in the scene.

They were very very good, but their songwriting has matured as they've went and the composition of this song is just flat out incredible. Leveled up, humanity restored, whatever you want to call it. Not necessarily the riff writing, which has always been s tier, but how its all put together, the fills, the dynamics. They've done nothing but get better.

I've never heard this band before but kinda knew what I should expect genre wise given the singer's work with DGD where they pretend he isn't a member of the band... I'd describe this as veil of Maya if they 100% focused on the rhythm, funk, clean vocals, and post hardcore aspect of their sound and ignored the metal aspects of it. Thats pretty much what this is and I enjoyed it alot.
