I have been to so many conferences in my 30 years of professional life and this is, by far, the best discussion I have ever seen. I saw it live and I continue to reflect on this amazing message. Thank you

I have been to many conferences in my career and this was by far the most memorable discussion I've even seen! A couple of exceptional men with VERY differnt views and still find common ground. Truly enlightening!

Absolutely needed in most Evangelical Churches. I love my conservative family but unfortunately there is no room to talk on an intellectual level. I suffer dearly to dumb down to keep peace. Mediocrity is hard to learn from when your very leader is not well taught. Love covers all and God my Father sends me this. Hallelujah for truth. Thank you all who committed to this conversation

Why did millions of Evangelical Christians in 2016 allow a wolf to become the shepherd of the flock & surrender the fate of the American people to the mercy of the malicious?

The devil is in the details. Both professors West and George embrace a certain set of values, take for example, humility. Do our schools teach humility? And the very selection of "facts" of history are themselves a value judgment. Thus the teaching of what went wrong with the American Dream/Experiment/what-not undermines faith in our social contract. The focus on racial struggle rather than religious struggle, the deaths by lynching rather than the many more deaths by urban crime, the paradigm of majority oppression rather than in-group dysfunction, put a spin on teaching history more effectively than clumsy propaganda. So, while the ability of two scholars to agree to disagree is on some level inspiring, it substitutes feel-good for actual solutions, begging the question of what is to be taught and why.

🙏🏻, what’s the race coming from? Since you mentioned the religious beliefs and whiteness. How’s our faith your fall with not practicing with the God’s mercy yourself just for prayers. If’s the skin outside to protect your body, why’d you have never mentioned anything about the Indigenous who’s having no voice whatsoever just for your self righteous on your matters, please explain🙏🏻.
