I could listen to Dr. Cornel West for hours... It would be such an honor to see him at an event in person one day.

Finally, all of you be like-minded [united in spirit], sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted [courteous and compassionate toward each other as members of one household], and humble in spirit; 1 Peter 3:8

Greetings from São Paulo, Brazil. I am very grateful for the TF. This conversation was just superb. A great example of solidarity, positive posture, loving disagreement (differences almost unperceived), togetherness for a greater cause. Thanks for Prof. West and Prof. George for such an inspiring journey, walking together in such a time as this. Fantastic meeting - it will be watched by many of my brothers down South of the Amazon. Keep up with the good work Cherie.

I have to wonder, from some of the more critical comments here, how many of these viewers have *seriously listened* to this thoughtful dialogue between Dr. West and Dr. George? It's sadly ironic that more than a few of the comments are showing the same *ideological rigidity* , and the same *unwillingness to consider good points in opposing views* , which both Cornel West and Robert George are strongly, openly, calling out here!

Robert George talks like the typical white supremacist , hiding behind vague but seemingly interesting words ! But saying nothing of substance!

Thank goodness, there is a separation between church and state in the Constitution. Thank goodness, morality is not necessarily connected to religion. If the market were as capable at being moral, why, oh why, are we currently in the state we are in? Why is/are the Working Class/people of color suffering the most from COVID 19? Why does this period have such huge economic/political inequalities?

I enjoyed this for what it is but there is a lot of naivety here. People gravitate to what is rewarding and what the culture supports. Ideas that is not supported by the social structure no matter how positive and effective it can be if implemented won’t get off the ground. Why are markets so dominant today? It’s because of deliberate action to steer the country that way. So anything that supports the market mentality no matter how harmful is done. The things that don’t, are demonized and out right rejected. If you want fairness and decency, then the culture has to make it rewarding. Why do people do corrupt things and have corrupt behavior? It’s because there is a reward for doing so. There is a benefit. If there is no talk and action about changing societal structures to where the traits we claim we want to see are nurtured and rewarded, we will continue to see this train reck and see the same problems persist and get worst.

Agree with Brother West 100% except for his religious beliefs.

Dr West's sweetness and compassion toward his reactionary friend here are really hindering him from expressing his progressive views to their full extent, fearing that he might annihilate him with his rightful and heroic revolutionary rhetoric, which is what he really would've done had he unleashed his courageous unrivaled voice, it's somehow disappointing, but it is a disappointment for which I respect him even more than I do already.. Long life brother West

Maybe Dr. West has matured from the style of rhetoric that you want him to use. And how would he “annihilate” his friend? They are friends and brothers, a friendship involves the limiting of oneself

Cornel West is 100x more correct and compassionate when they spoke on the topic of transgender people in society. @1:27:30 Dr. West makes a good point criticizing George's use of the term transgender ideology
