Once upon a time, I met an American Girl on vacation in Europe. She and I went to Paris, where I showed her around and went to the top of the Eiffel Tower. She told me: "If someone had said that I would be here, on top of the Eiffel Tower, a year ago, I would not have believed them". Later that week, her mouth dropped when we visited The Louvre for two days.

It's cheaper to go up the Eiffel Tower today than it was back when it was built. The documentary suggests the equivalent of €55 when new. It's only about €36 today.

A MAJOR error at the end. The CN tower Toronto, Canada was not included. The CN Tower held the record for the world's tallest free-standing structure for 32 years, from 1975 until 2007, when it was surpassed by the Burj Khalifa, and was the world's tallest tower until 2009 when it was surpassed by the Canton Tower. It is currently the tenth-tallest free-standing structure in the world and remains the tallest free-standing structure on land in the Western Hemisphere. In 1995, the CN Tower was declared one of the modern Seven Wonders of the World by the American Society of Civil Engineers. It also belongs to the World Federation of Great Towers.

I really enjoyed the documentary right until the last 2 minutes. Why show us the Chrysler Building and not even mention it? Also, the statement that the twin towers have "disappeared" isn't untrue, but who would it offend to say they were destroyed by terrorists?

Just like Eiffel did not design or invent the Eiffel Tower. He appropriated it and promoted it to be built. The End.
