@@lucasahmad6525 Indonesia was already rife with slavery by the time the Dutch got there, and had competition in the slave market that rendered it not profitable in the same manner that it had been for other exploits in different regions; reason for this being that it was a Muslim territory, and slavery, and slave markets, were already sanctioned and practiced for centuries prior to colonization. The Dutch Golden Age was precipitated largely by revenues from trade of commodities, banking and lending, and the creation of speculative markets that drove consumption that wasn’t really seen in Europe except in sporadic instances in medieval and renaissance Italian city states (e.g., spices like pepper and nutmeg, and even tulip bulbs).

I prefer the new logo. I understand it's lost the aspect which relates to the history, but as a Londoner, Im drawn more to it leaning into it being located in Texas. I'm British-Jamaican and like Jamaica I feel like Texas is almost like a brand, maybe not as strong or popular but when you see that state shape and lone star you know it's Texas. You mentioned the bank logos but I see the American flag minus the yellow for the stars whereas the previous logo as you highlighted felt like it could just be clipart. It felt strong in it's original design for Toodyay because Australias in the uk is thought of as sunshine and the sea. I'm really looking forward to seeing what idea you come up with.

@Balrog2005
@Balrog2005 22 күн бұрын
@Nojodascabron
@Nojodascabron 22 күн бұрын
@Digital111 No, simplemente Londres o new york, no es Madrid.
@Nojodascabron
@Nojodascabron 22 күн бұрын

3:24:30 First of all, I have to say that it is a good documentary. When you buy the land, the air above it is yours. All other arguments are just bullshit. Is there to oxygen right? breathe right? If building height can be achieved with engineering and science, it is stupid for lawmakers to limit it. America's air rights seem more like a law made up to collect taxes. By limiting the number of houses by law, the value increases. I now understand why these buildings are so expensive. I think the prices of these buildings are now inflated and no one wants to live there anymore. These prices are a bubble and will burst one day

Tons of shit. in every minute you can find a deep lie. Just at the begining this doc forgots what the City Museum of New York shows as a little well kept secret: 1898 that is the date whn New York became the central axle of the North Atlantic trade. But in a few more images we get to another ridiculous statement: the people from the Netherlands were Catholics as well as mostly every European at that time. Then with the Reformation many of them changed form Catholicism to the new churches, not the other way. And so on...
