I.m.o. you should have also said that "It's Dangerous to Go Alone" also rewards one of the best healing offhands if you get it early enough. Spirit of Aquementas with the -25 to all spells is just plain crazy. before it gets changed to regular +dmg.

I think that was exactly what made WoW so great in the first place. Nobody knew anything and you were so proud if you discovered something. No easy and fast look-ups. You had to discover it all by yourself.

I used to make so much money off of Swiftness Potions back in the day. Seems like everyone wanted those. I've never played vanilla servers, so I don't know if the trend still holds but I fully intend to play Classic WoW and have at least one max level alchemist. I was always on the lookout for swiftthistle and briarthorn just to make more batches of these. They always sold like hotbuns and funded most of my endeavors. I hope to repeat that ludicrous way of making money.

I remember farming briarthorn spawns for hours to get the swiftthistle needed to make those. I sold so many swiftness potions that I was able to buy arcane crystals and transmute arcanite every cooldown while leveling. As a result I was able to have a lionheart helm crafted when I hit level 58 on my warrior. Then I just ground away at Alterac Valley until I could buy a lobotomizer and boom, top dps for Molten Core. =)

Paladins should pick Linkadin's boomerang quest reward at the end of the quest line because not only is it BiS ranged weapon for paladins but because it is the only usable ranged weapon by paladins.

Honestly this was the first time I ever finished it. I could never figure out how to get past the first parts - the picture made me think I was supposed to be sesrching for a gnome in Stormwind back in Vanilla. But I agree awesome quest, just super time consuming

I had the Wardrobe addon set to equip the Nifty Stopwatch (and also the Carrot on a stick) whenever I mounted. That way if I got attacked and dismounted I had it ready to go so I could get some distance from my attacker. Just a tip from one old WoW player.

If you're horde in Durotar you will get 'Sticky Glue'. Hold on to this until at STV or Hillsbrad and really surprise some people in PVP.

Alliance players get a consumable called "light of elune" from a questline (Ashenvale I believe). It makes you completely immune for 10 seconds. I used it on my mage to singlehandedly turn the tide of an Alterac Valley battle. Popped it and just ran into the enemy lines spamming arcane explosion. Managed to kill like 20 horde while the Alliance charged in behind me. We capped their GY and rolled over them to victory. It was dope.

At 7:20 - it just gives you an instant ranged attack, with a chance to stun or disarm. Super handy for melee classes

@@Thraex at the time, I hadn't the slightest clue how rare it was. I just knew that my character was a gnomish engineer and I was NEVER taking that helmet off. I used it for 23 levels before getting an upgrade massive enough to force me to unequip it. Oh how I wish transmog was a thing back then.

The thing that makes all of these items pretty much useless are the long cooldowns. A 10 sec boost with a 60 min cooldown? Not really worth it.

You say that, but have you ever beaten someone to a mining node simply because of the Nifty Stopwatch? Trinket cooldowns in Vanilla are fairly long - nothing like in retail. These are the best of the best.

Considering that leveling in wow classic was almost painfully slow at times, a once an hour on use item was quite handy. It took me 2 months to get my first character to level 60 and I was one of the first 200 or so people to do it on my server.
