Thank you. This card still feels like a useless pull, but I know it better now. I've been deeply depressed and absolutely unproductive on every level for the past week. When I do devote myself to something, I don't take any shortcuts-- otherwise I won't do it at all (very Aquarian attitude, I have noticed). I've been studying Tarot for five years, astrology for twenty-eight, and I have devoted nearly eight hours a day to Tarot in the past year, and I'm getting *no* closer. I just cannot read the cards in any narrative fashion. I feel like someone learning to read or learn a language for years and just gets nowhere because...their brain is too old, or something. I wish I could be productive without worry with Tarot. Half of the people I know outright *refuse* me to give them sample readings-- these are friends and family. I really worry that that is a sign. I went to LA last weekend and I brought my cards, and neither my old best friend nor her boyfriend wanted a reading.

Oh Sophie! It sounds like you are having a rough time. I'm so sorry. A few thoughts: It sounds like you have a depth of knowledge of tarot. Perhaps the 8 of P is calling you to utilize it in a different fashion/method? Academic analysis, essays or a book on tarot meanings and imagery. There are tarot publications which might be seeking content. Or share your knowledge and expertise by creating a web page. You clearly have a passion. Perhaps it is time to try different ways of crafting that passion into a satisfying pursuit which keeps expanding your tarot experience? All my best, M
