It would be one thing if she tried to tackle him and briefly pushed him back a few inches due to leverage, but she literally grapples with him for half a minute while he hits her repeatedly, then overpowers him. Wtf?? I was waiting for the series to show that she was either a terminator, a terminator/human hybrid, or at least that she was enhanced (like Grace in Dark Fate) but nope! No such confirmation happened smh. I like the series but they made T-800 too weak at times.

Tbf you can make the argument the terminator was actively trying NOT to kill her. (For spoiler reasons) If not for that specific reason then no, she should have been instantly dead the moment it got a clean hit on her. Literally the first Terminator movie one impales a guy on his bare fist. Terminators have crazy strength. Enough to instantly kill anyone dumb enough to try to fist fight them.

This scene is lore breaking. There is no way Eiko is able to withstand and make the T-800 pause his attacks by mere strength alone. Or strong enough to push him into the elevator shaft for that matter. Theres a reason why Kyle Reese avoids a physical fight with the terminator in 1984.

I think I just got a bit annoyed cause any Eiko vs terminator scene on KZbin always has some comment about “that wouldn’t work” or “bad writing” etc. I mean even when I saw this scene and he was punching her back I thought “pretty sure he could break her back or something” but I just went with it cause it’s entertainment/fantasy. Now when it gets to Fast and the furious type of dumb where we are flying in space with a 94 Honda civic or whatever, then that’s way out there. Anyways, very good point you made.

@REVy_X its more or less the very idea of suspension of disbelief is now but a foreign concept to most because a lot of people want the "muh realism" and everything has to make sense route, whilst ignoring the time travel, Kyle Reese wacking a t 800 with a rebar and actually bending that piece of metal, or the fact the t800 varies wildly in durability because that same robot can be beaten with a homemade pipe bomb of all things. Or just fucking skynet itself losing to humanity repeatedly when it's been severely handicapped Realism is understandable to some degree but too much and you'll just get a boring and predictable plot.

@@Procopius464 she was shown to be more buff and muscular than the average japanese cop or civilian, so taking a few hits, especially in the back, where she’s shown to be pretty toned, is not too far from reality, plus the fact that he was already damaged in the leg joint and face. Terminators are at their most dangerous when armed with weapons, since you cant really shot them back as effectively.

@@ayar2 Unless this is some shitty model, it is far and far away from what was shown in the movies, because if you saw them the T-800 is deadly without a weapon. In his first appearance the T-800 literally punches a hole in a Punk's torso, any human that got in a physical confrontation with it got dominated even guys with metal objects like the boyfriend of Sarah's friend or Kyle got effortlessly destroyed in a few hits. It doesn't matter how muscular she is, a few hits on her back the very least would have cracked her spine. Genesys next to this looks like a masterpiece, this is some Salvation or Dark Fate tier crap like the T-RIP throwing Connor around to see if he could escape and later on he punches Marcus heart or when the tiny girl was strangling the Rev-9.
