Really atmospheric place; you can almost taste the history both in and around the castle. Truly beautiful, Scotland's well worth an extended visit, even if this was all you saw.

Ive spent more time on holiday here than any where else, I didnt realise that the first time I saw it was in the film Highlander in a flat in Stoke Newington in London in the late 1980s. Its my favourite place on earth, even when its raining!

This is the castle of my ancestors, Clan MacRae, albeit, it initially belonged to Clan Mackenzie. Definitely will plan a trip there soon. Nice video.

Excellent video. A friend and I were able to see Eilean Donan on our first tyme tour of Scotland on 18Sept2015 as we were leaving Skye for Inverness. Being of Clan MacKinnon, my Clan castle is a short distance away in Kyleakin. Slàinte.
