I'm from Brazil and dont understand a single word this fantastic singer says. What I know is that he does what a real artist is suposed to do: enchant you, take you to another world. The actors who play Halfdan and Harald on Vikings are both Finnish and you hear them sing in the introduction of one of the episodes from season 5.
