I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

Probably one of the best (if not the best) vlogs/videos about Eindhoven out there! I like it! It's my favourite Dutch city. I don't live near there yet, but I regularly go to Eindhoven. I even want to move there soon! A very vibrant and modern city with a nice international city vibe! Very different from other Dutch cities. The food market (Downtown Gourmet Market) is definitely one of my favourite places in the city. Inside it it feels like you're at a street food market in Asia! There actually is another new foodhall in Strijp-S! If you ever come back to Eindhoven, I can recommend to go to a Champions League game from PSV Eindhoven. That's a very unique experience! CL nights in Eindhoven are legendary!

At 7:18, those are not kroketten but frikandellen. A kroket is the same as a bitterball but longer. They come in a variety of fillings, from cow's meat to vegetables and even shrimps. The frikandel is like a meat roll, usually they're about 10 cm long. These are mini frikandellen, bite size. By the way, nice vlog about my city! :)

Ahh my city!Love it! It's really unique compared to some of the other Dutch/European cities, and it was dubbed THE future city of Europe by some sources world wide because of the region being a major player/frontrunner in the worlds technology and innovation sector(Even was the smartest region of the world a few years ago). Lot of things you guys missed but thats normal and more the reason to come back again lol. Eindhoven Glow in November would be a must see, basicly a light art festival throughout the city where buildings such as the church are being transformed inot huge light art shows, quite a few awesome videos of it on YT. Van Abbemuseum if you like modern art, has works of Picasso in it etc. And you HAVE TO see a PSV match next time ofcourse lol, specially one against the enemies/rivals . All in all i think it's an amazing city, not too big that you would feel lost in it, and not too small, just perfect..Hot during the summer and really a city with it's eyes set on the future. Only a few historical buildings left as it was bombed heavily during WW2, not as bad as Rotterdam but still badly. And it's a city that is still getting bigger and better, and allot of high buildings being build now and in the future...Excited what the future will bring for Ons mooie Eindhoven(Our beautiful Eindhoven). Thanks allot for the vid!

Btw you did not eat a kroket. Its a (mini) frikandel (the first one with the arrow on the left). The right one - round - is a bitterbal. A kind of mini kroket, but a different shape. And the frikandel story about all the leftovers is a bit fake. The first frikandel had that, but now Its a reciproque ofcourse. But it is Made of “separatoren vlees”, the last meat on bones, they cook it of Frikandel special (mayo, curry And raw onions) is great I am So happy they invented vegetarians ones like 10/15 years ago hahaha. It was the only meat I missed.

No history no architecture… you simply walk for 1 hours and that s all. If I were to go to Netherlands I would not pick this city for visiting, not at all😊
@Emdee56325 ай бұрын
Eindhoven only became larger than a small village or town during the 20th century, when Philips and DAF grew larger and larger. The former villages it annexed still have their centre's (sort of). You simply cannot compare the city with huge ancient cities in Spain and Italy. Stop whining about how small Eindhoven is in your opinion.

Eindhoven was bombed by our friendly neighbors to the east so that explains why its modern, strange that you wouldnt mention this, i mean all European cities are historic cities. i do not know a sizeable city in Europe that doesn't have a history of 500+ years.
@ProbablyLost2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for clarifying! We know that part of their history, but many cities throughout Europe were heavily damaged during that time. What interested us was the route Eindhoven took to rebuild (i.e. emphasis on a more modern look rather than traditional). We didn't mention it though because we honestly didn't know this at the time. Over the next month after Eindhoven, we spent a lot of time in Poland & Germany where we got a lot more of an understanding of what post-war recovery efforts looked like. While a lot of those cities chose to rebuild in a more traditional way, it showed us that cities like Eindhoven & Frankfurt went the modern approach. But as I said, it's not that we were trying to avoid mentioning it. It's more just because we hadn't known and understood at the time. That's why we visit the places we visit though. Understanding the history is important to us. Thanks again for clarifying & watching our video. We really appreciate it & really loved our time in Eindhoven!!
@r.a.h76822 жыл бұрын
@@ProbablyLost it is sad, besides Middelburg which is a city in the south i cant name any other city that rebuild in a tradional way.. sadly. Rotterdam was bombed the most and if youre interested you should look up before and after pictures it is really depressing, i like our historic cities so to see that most cities in the netherlands that were bombed went the modern way (and failed in my opinion) is a shame.
@Emdee56325 ай бұрын
Not only from the east, the Philips factories (and unfortunately civilians living in the neighborhood... 😢) got bombed by the western Allies as well.
