Ingredients:
Dough:
20 grams of fresh yeast
100 g sugar (½ cup)
150 ml lukewarm milk (⅔ cup)
500 g flour (4 cups + 2 tbsp)
2 eggs
30 grams of butter
pinch of salt
Filling:
5 pears
5 tbsp raw sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 star anise
5 cloves
50 grams of butter
1 egg for brushing
powdered sugar
Bake: 180°C / 356°F 20 minutes on top/bottom heat

I tried this recipe, but ran into two problems you might want to avoid in the future videos. One, the number of pears depends on the cultivar. The cultivar on our backyard bears fruit much smaller than the ones in the video, so I used some 15-20 pears or so. In this case, a ballpark figure of how much volume the cut pears take would have helped clarify this. The other is how big the rolled-out dough should be in cm/inches (unless it's mentioned somewhere?). I imagine your wooden rolling board is much larger than what I have at hand, and I made the mistake of not splitting the dough in two. The end result for me was that the cakes were overfilled, and the reason for it was probably one or both of these. I've very much enjoyed the recipes on this channel, especially for the alternative ways of shaping the cakes and now how to use our pears in baking.
