Everyone knows perfectly well, that Karabakh is Azerbaijan. Just because the word "Karabakh" itself is an Azerbaijani word, and translates as "Black Garden". Occupying Armenians want to change this beautiful, historical name, and call Karabakh -Artsakh. It will never happen. Karabakh will never be Artsakh! And never was! people write songs about Karabakh, some people listen to these songs, but very few of them know the true history of Karabakh. Very few people know that even on the map it is mentioned as the territory of Azerbaijan. although the Armenians do not give up on Karabakh. we have been waiting for 30 years for a peaceful solution to the issue. And the result of this 30-year wait is zero. The Armenians still do not withdraw their troops from the territory of Azerbaijan, Karabakh. I will tell you more, they have been lying for 30 years and they were strengthening their positions in the occupied territories, preparing for war. It should be over, it would be good to solve this problem through negotiations, however, the 30-year-old fact is that no negotiations are understood by Armenians. They chose war. We lost 30 years, of their trust and finally they do nothing, they just sat on our heads. I am very sorry that war is solving the problem in the 21st century. It is not too late now, the Armenians can withdraw their troops from Karabakh and everything will end peacefully. Though they do worse than that, they try to involve others in this war. They also try to play the role of victim. Please split this circus and liberate Karabakh from the Armenian army until more people are killed in this war! I can write a lot more on this topic, but I will not bore you anymore, I will end with this. I wish you peace, thank you. 🇦🇿 #KarabakhIsAzerbaycan 🇦🇿

This song is to me a declaration of LOVE to a very very fragile country. I had the pleasure to be there 2 month ago, in Nagorno Karabach and I met a awesome beautiful country and kind people, it is a versatile and fragile but extrem friendly country to me. A beauty itself and I could even find out the black garden meaning. On the other hand I met extreme sad people , sad in many regards and for very different reasons. I am Holger,, musician and photographer from Germany and must confess : This song was very much encouraging me to go and visit this place. Stepanakert, Shushi, Hadrut, Qarakollu - one of hundreds depopulated villages and cities - , all the way down the E002 to the Iran borderline, followed by Kovsakan, , Agdam, Martakert, Vank, ( ps.s I am using here the english transcription of places by purpose) , this was the big 8-line -tour through this litte country and I am sure to make further trips too. I want to see where this country goes and whether itself can find peace with all it's neighbors. Regardless of there cardinal points and confessions. And always I will keep this song in my mind an sing it myself while I am there.

Long, long before I had or known about this internet thing, I read a review about a german band's new album, Haus der Lüge. I was greatly impressed for what I read. But I could not grasp my hands upon any Neubauten's artifact them (not an easy band to listen here in Spain in the late 80's) but the name of the group stucked in my memory. Very recently I've tracked them on Spotify. I listened Haus der Lüge for the first time. Well, I have to say that the band has just more than surpassed my best expectations. Noise can be art. Noise can be poetry and Blixa is a gift to humanity. This song is another gift, too!

Not really, but initially I listen to the inflection in his voice with out worrying about the lyrics. I hear the tonality as an emotional atmosphere. When I go back and read the translation I'm always suprised and moved by Blixa's poetry, but ultimately Neubauten are a genre and identity unto themselves and that's the attraction. A completely invented and self contained language that is perfect and whole and beautiful. The language disconnect only serves to create another dimension of poetry.

@@mist9798 it's funny you say something like this, in fact centuries ago there was no armenia. It's stupid to make absurd claims if you don't have any information about the history of the region. Karabakh is and always been a part of Azerbaijan, recognized by the UN and 194 countries from all over the world. My best advice for you would be educate yourself before making any comment on this conflict. Start with researching the Karabakh khanate, the armenian migration to south caucasus and the Gulistan treaty. Fyi, by this treaty russia started to rule Karabakh, but there's no armenia nor any armenian mentioned in it. If Karabakh was theirs and they were the majority like you claim then why they weren't mentioned? As for the migration part the best source I can recommend you is the russian archives, specially Nikolai Shavrovs' writings. Check these and maybe then you can answer my question. Will be waiting

Thanks EN for this piece of art and more of 30 years of exist... (Well, when Tabula Rasa was released I was a baby, but that doesn't matter because 18 years later I'm lucky of appreciate this kind of art)
@thossi094 жыл бұрын
Yeah... Kollaps was what, an '81 release? Or maybe a bit later ... still, even it was '85 I still didn't have any pubes. Got into it in my teens, having heard many people speak highly of EN, so when I had a bit of cash I went and got Ende Neu. Enamoured, I went right back and got Kollaps. It wasn't really what I expected. Lucky me, still a teenager, I was very open to all sorts of stuff. And these days, I'm about 50% happy and 50% disappointed I didn't get caught up in the mainstream back then. On one hand, I'd have been yet another guy at a party, miraculously finding a guitar (I swear, there was no guitar in my home before the party guests arrived!) and start playing "Wonderwall" - on the other hand, I'd have fit better in socially, and then might have had some happier teenage years.

The idea behind this song isn't political!!! It means the own seclusiveness Let us enjoy this beautiful song and forget all hate and anger about what happend. It's just a song! And music is peace for us all!!! Blixa said, he loves the sound of the words on his tongue, not more. It is just lyric! Why try to interpret so many people this song for its own ideas? Einer der besten deutschen Lieder, die ich je gehört habe! Was für eine großartige Band.

I wish all Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh all the best in surviving the disgusting genocide of Azerbaijan. It's a shame nobody is helping you because Azerbaijan supplies Europe with Russian gas.

I think this song needs a video with Karabakh’s nature. No neverending war chronicles, just peace and nature. И да, мир Кавказу!

It's interesting to see people argue about actual place here, while it is quite evident that for Blixa it's just an obscure enclave with a weird name. He may have heard about the politics around it, but this song has nothing to do with it and everything to do with lonelinness and alienation of a man. A very accessible, easy to understand song. And here come all these people thinking that they are clever and arguing about "their" mountains... OMFG, haha... He sings about *his* mountain, not about *yours*.

"Two large black ravens devour the plums in the tree", there are politics in that line. And it stands, not against the azeri or armenian people, but against the azeri and armenian elites, whose interests sustain the conflict. That's how war works, as you can see in every single conflict, poor men fight, rich men gain.

You may be right, yes. And the poor men are fighting even here, in the comments. How sad...

i don't think you are getting it. of course it involves the conflict, they have a song called "Armenia" in halber mensch, but i think that the vague poetry here talks about the pain of People in general about the war. the thing is it can involve other wars/countries, not Just the karabaj matter. by the way music flows in this teriffic song you can get it is not a "personal issue" specially being (at the time) a conflict área. well, apart from that he actually repeats "enclave" several times so....

Not afraid to be exciting Not afraid to be boring Part of this song is “don’t give up” by Peter Gabriel. I love it all Up to around silence is sexy, & seeing them live was impactful to say the least.
