❤💚 Thank you Walter for this book on Einstein and for the book on B. Franklin. I read both and a few more of your amazing books. It was amazing! And I am in middle of reading your book on Steven Jobs. You rock! I look forward to seeing your book on Elon Musk Walter. 💚❤

I've read this book, which in many respects is excellent. However, any book on Einstein that does not even mention the contributions of Alexander Friedmann and Georges Lemaître to the cosmological applications of General Relativity must be considered incomplete! Unfortunately, this is the case here...For example, at page 254, Isaacson has this to say about the cosmological constant: "But even today, in light of evidence that the expansion of the universe is accelerating, it is considered a useful concept, indeed a necessary one after all". In fact, Lemaître saw this back in 1934, in an article published by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science.(See, e.g. Philip Frank's biography of Einstein, p. 240 or S. Weinberg, Cosmology, Oxford UP, page 44).
