Einstein Parrot is a very talkative African Grey Parrot! He lives with us in our home in Texas and was hatched on June 15, 1997. Einstein is a silly, smart, and popular parrot who loves to talk and entertain! He is famous for his impression of Matthew McConaughey, ( • Einstein thinks Matthe... ) NOT the "Einstein" that was featured on the TV show Animal Planet. He likes to talk on various "parrot approved areas" in our home, such as the kitchen drawer, the shower, kitchen chairs, napkin holders, and of course his play perches! Einstein has brought much joy to our lives, but training and living with a parrot requires time, patience, and sacrifice.

I love how EInstein reflects back all the things he is told: "It's OK, don't be scared" and "Here. Want some? It's gooo-ood" and "You're a good parrot". You get the sense that he lives with nice people who are calm and kind and care for him very well, indeed.

Years ago, I was in a pet store named "city pets" to buy my kitty a toy. While I was looking at the items against the wall, I would occasionally hear the phone ring and the person answering, saying "city pets." They were getting a lot of calls. When I went to make my purchase, I heard the phone ring and the person answering but the person wasn't on the phone. I looked up above the checkout and there was a parrot on a perch making this sound! It had perfectly mimicked the sound of the phone ringing, the sound of picking up the phone, and the person saying "city pets." Exactly the same every time. Yes, my mind was blown.

Little Einstein's voice is absolutely clear, pronunciation is perfect, his memory is great. I admire his intelligence, his feistiness, his affectionate personality. "What's a Roo-stein?" Funny! My sister's cat generally doesn't pay attention to the TV, but when she heard Einstein, she went up the tablet, really confused, like 'I hear a person, but I don't see him anywhere!' She doesn't do that for the TV in general, but she sure got curious about the sound!

Love Learnin Did you see the video when Marsha had a coughing fit ? Einstein sweetly asked Marsha if she was OK ? With real concern in his voice. Lord he's one smart parrot that's for sure. The more he talks the better he gets. Gotta love this little guy. How could anyone not ? They've got bigger brains for their size. I loved that too. I have a cat that's named Razzie short for raspberry because her whole life she has struck out the tip of her tongue. We found out that she had bad teeth and had to have them all removed. But because she had stuck out her tongue for so long that it's habit mow.

People dislike videos for a variety of reasons. Some don't like birds, some think a talking animal is creepy, maybe the video was too long, or maybe that person is just having a bad day. People don't really share why they don't like something so I'm only guessing. I prefer to focus on the positive and I get a lot more likes than dislikes and It makes me feel wonderful when I get the kind of feedback you just gave me. Thank you so much for liking Einstein!
