Einstein Parrot is a very talkative African Grey Parrot! He lives with us in our home in Texas and was hatched on June 15, 1997. Einstein is a silly, smart, and popular parrot who loves to talk and entertain! He is famous for his impression of Matthew McConaughey, ( • Einstein thinks Matthe... ) NOT the "Einstein" that was featured on the TV show Animal Planet. He likes to talk on various "parrot approved areas" in our home, such as the kitchen drawer, the shower, kitchen chairs, napkin holders, and of course his play perches! Einstein has brought much joy to our lives, but training and living with a parrot requires time, patience, and sacrifice.

Einstein, when you said, 'Look at the squirrel,' it made me think of my Daddy. He rarely used the phone. Once he retired, he would sometimes call my home while I was at work. He would call to talk to my Chihuahua, Katie. I'd come home with a message saying, "Hey Katie. What are you doing. Where's that squirrel? Get that squirrel Katie," and on and on. He would eventually end it with a round of barking! He knew she would go to the window and start barking as soon as she heard 'squirrel!' I heard my mother in the background once asking who he was talking to. He said, in an irritated tone, "I'm talking to Katie!" When they visited in person, NO ONE was allowed to go near my Daddy. She was Katie's man. I sure miss them. I like your train whistle! What a fun video.

I lost my best friend Peanut, my toy poodle six months ago. I cry every day. I had him for 14 years. He was 15 years and 9 months old. So when I'm feeling sad 😭 and lonely for him I turn my iPad on and watch Einstein and smile. I just love her. Kudos to Jeff and Martha for treating Einstein as a member of your family as Peanut was mine. 🙂 💕

I’m so sorry and I know how sad you must be. Many years ago Marcia had a mini poodle named Su-su that was 15 years old when she passed. They are family and we miss them so much when they go. Take care!

I have a friend with a parrot that could be Einstein double. Name: Boesman. He new the name of everyone in the home and when the lights went out at night he greeted everyone by name. He made ringtones and then answered the phone precisely like owner of phone. They are very intelligent birds. ❤
