Often, you'll realize that when you're actually seeing that light again, so all you can do is take that leap of faith and do what you know is right for you. I'd say... be kind to yourself, take a walk outside, call someone. All the best! Btw: excellent replies here.

"My goodness, don’t you remember? When you went first to school. You went to Kindergarten...and Kindergarten, the idea was to push along so that you could get to first grade...and then push along so that you could get to second grade, third grade, and so on going up and up. Then you went to high school and this was a great transition in life. And all that pressure is being put on, you must get ahead! You must go up the grades and finally be good enough to get to college...and then when you get to college, you’re still going step by step, step by step up to the great moment in which you are ready to go out into the world...and then when you get out into this famous world, comes...the struggle for success and profession of business......and then suddenly, when you’re about forty or forty-five years old in the middle of life, you wake up one day, and say, Huh?? I’ve arrived...and while it is of tremendous use for us to be able to look ahead and to plan, there is no use planning for a future, which when you get to it and it becomes the present, you won’t be there. You will be living in some other future which hasn’t yet arrived...and so in this way, one is never able actually to inherit and enjoy the fruits of one’s actions. You can’t live at all, unless you can live fully now." -Alan Watts

Ive always been a pretty solid philosophical thinker I believe, but Ive never been a strong student. I have struggled with depression for upwards of 10 years. It was effecting relationships with family and friends. Got to a pretty dark place about a month ago. Led to me not realizing that an ex was also mentally suffering. She almost killed herself, and I was not aware enough to see it. Just wanted to say thanks for helping teach me to be a good student. So many questions I have had, and though there are never tangible answers, you have help me really dive deeper than I ever have. Im already noticing a change in my relationships. These videos are truly incredible.

Dont have a source anymore but in a vid i once saw they studied an amount of negative thoughts ppl had. Only 8% of those (worrying) negative thoughts actually turned out to be negative. Im often too positive maybe even naive so it may not be a surprise in my case the majority actually turned out to be negative. Thats why lately i indeed try to just live in the moment and not think at all abt the future and when i think abt it just have a realistic view like "we'll see what happens".

This is a great video. My son and I struggle with inner peace but he's only little. I at least can watch these videos and try to reset my mind everyday. He constantly argues with everything that is said to him, gets upset and offended by little things and feels like he is always being picked on. I feel sorry for the little guy as most of it is in his head and alot of his concerns are self inflicted too. It would be great if there was a video like this reworded for kids.

Thank you. I can definitely see how these things on the list can affect inner peace and am currently working on some of those things now. I can honestly say that I no longer feel the need to be validated by others especially by certain relatives after all that happened and I have found it to be somewhat freeing. I now focus on being true to myself and on what I know and what I don't know about myself and others and other things.

@@garethgareth8699 Good question Gareth Gareth, I can only say that one day I was just fed up with being constantly anxious, looking for acknowledgement from out side, ...and the whole social "correct way to behave" . I started slow, changing what I thought it was wrong, and reading a lot, Stoics are and had a huge impact, Five rings from Musashi, Tao te Ching and many more. But essentially I needed to see and meditate what was not working for me. What helped me a lot is the physical exercise, regular, good circle of friends even if you are an introvert, simplify your life to the minimum, and then you realise that you don't need much, which is also a common discourse in many philosophies, Greeks, Romans, Chinese, Japanese, Indian...and more... you may know and recognize that subtle changes...will do wonders... It’s not necessarily seeking validation - more seeking - space to breathe and feel free A peace that everyone should be allowed . 🌷With love Theo TJ Lowe

So, the main point is to keep the middle road in most of the cases that we encounter as we could. And I believe that the consciousness of to take the middle road is gained by the experience. Thus, if we really want to be in a peace of mind a hundred percent, we have to experience things in empiristisch way and that is going to happen in our older ages. However, the books we’ve read and the encounters that we encounter might have speed the process of the conciousness to take the middle road.
