I'd suggest being extremely careful about what you access with that card, given the origin. Good video overall, but that camera motor sounds like it's dying. :P

2:50 I have noticed that birds tend to land on the highest location. Perhaps if you build a "T" shaped PVC structure (or similar), and mount it above and behind the camera (on the same post), the birbs will choose to land on the "T" and not poop on your solar panel.

Okay, I don’t mind the reviews. But this review, based solely on your experience of “so-and-so doesn’t work here anymore” should have been a solid thumbs down. That’s very sketchy and makes me wonder what kind of business they’re running. I can’t see how you could recommend them in good conscience. Look, I get that getting free stuff is fun, but do you really want to sacrifice your credibility for some free SIMs?

What data package did it deliver finally? And how do you top it up?

It's the 12GB plan that initially showed up, good through the end of the year. You can top it up on their website when you put in the card number.

I installed one of these cards in my Reolink go pt plus camera; worked for about a week, then I started getting motion alerts but the camera would not connect for a live streaming. I took the camera down and did a factory reset but the card won’t connect to the network. Frustrating!

Mine has been working fine so far, and the last time I tried one of their cards it lasted quite a while as well. I suppose it's possible to get a bad one, sometimes I've had issues with cards straight from the cell phone company.

A good thing. Now we are waiting for satellite Internet for mobile devices of some kind-Elon Musk's thread with coverage around the world. This is the future, not GSM cells. The coverage of this SIM card is small. It cannot be used in most of the world. I think it has to do with country restrictions. In some countries, it may be convenient, but in general, a small alternative to local SIM cards + VPN.

can it switch carriers automatically if there is no service for a particular carrier in an area? Like if you were traveling in a car using the device for GPS and you were on Verizon, but then entered an area with no Verizon, but had ATT coverage. Would the sim switch to ATT automatically?? Or would you have to switch it manually somehow?

I think most SIMs are on just one carrier, unless that's changed in the last few years. Some phones can do dual-SIM and use two different carriers.

I'm not sure, I've never actually tried to get just a card from a cell phone store. The teenagers running the place only know how to sell phones, and they can barely handle that.

I have the same camera and have only used the same sim it came with. There's no need to buy a new sim that's a waste of money.
