ChatGTP is kinda dum. well tricky.. divide the code up in parts. and try them... then take the parts and ask.. "can i come-bind this to have it do this." Cos sometime it removes one part when it adds another!? :/ you could also just post the code you have and ask it "is there anything wrong here, can it be done better or there is a problem with "something" can you find/fix it." sometimes the code looks to work but a part of it have been removed or altered .. that how i learn not to ask for to much in one go.

These have always been my favorite kinds of places to get lost in looking for crazy finds. Sad to hear this one might be closing up. At least we get a little tour while it's still around.

I wonder is it possible to hear it upper in the north (southern Finland)..? My kid is at the moment very interested on the subject, but he's still quite young so the attention span might not be big enough if it's like a too hard task/needle in a heystack..anyway my help will be needed on the task.. i think we might try if there is at least some possibility with eg. handheld yagi or something similar that can be built at home.. (i have some experience building hf antennas for dx listening, but this is completely different task..and since that type of communication is out of my range of knowledge..i know though it might be quite low on horizon..🤔)

You can check n2yo.com and see upcoming passes. Generally I say anything above 30 degrees is decent, but the repeater on the ISS is so strong that you might be able to hear it below that as well.

I’m with you on prices. No price, no buy. It’s way too annoying to ask prices on each item. You may even miss out on buying something that was cheaper then you may think.

This was like smell-o-vision to me - I can smell and taste every different part of those spaces - takes me back in time for sure for very similar spaces and 'Stuff". . BTW @saveitforparts at some point yer prolly gonna need to check out Renishaw* ring encoders - and quadrature read heads and slewing bearing for yer Raydomed future Radio telescope . The eleven to twenty two arc second stainless steele (sp) rings are much more affordable than Heidenhain equivalents. If you use two read heads 180 degrees apart they "cancel out" decentering errors. The beauty of that is you can build whatever mechatronic drive systems you want again and again and tear it down or even make one from clockwork if you really wanted but the angular positioning and balancing of a radar mount / bigger dish is sound no matter what. . Occasionally you do see people using hyper expensive slewing bearing as counter weights and other dumb shizzle - al lot scrapped CNC machine tools have might have many of the components you could uses ... If memory serves me right RESR type ring. . If I ever escape this particular bubble I'll spot you a bearing and a pair of encoders - might be a year from now. . Your current self will say - yeah no thanks - your future self will thank me lol. . Not actually telling you how to do anything. . BEST. . Eric. . .____________________________________________________________________ . * No affiliation but the British guy started all of his stuff out of a garage back in the day - divider head and home made ring encoders. .
