🗣 It’s not for swoops. I even tried doing one swoop at a time and rubbing the swoop until dry. Still couldn’t get it to work 🤷🏾‍♀️. It did work for slicking up my high ponytails/buns but it looks weird if you don’t use it all over. I had the Jermaine Jackson shiny look going on and then dry/soft everywhere else.

I bought this product and it was a WASTE OF $$$. I have 3c/4a hair & used it to slick down my edges for a ponytail. By the time I was done with my ponytail, the edge control was loose and a bit greesy. The “rub challenge” can only be done RIGHT after I put it on but if you wait about 10min, it’s loose.

I'm so glad for this review. I thought I was doing something wrong. It works for my swoops, but when it's hot, causing me to sweat, it doesn't hold (especially not for 3 days). Plus, it turned a little oily after I applied it. I got it in the summer. Maybe it will perform better now that cooler season is approaching.

It worked great for my hair swoops and all …I definitely noticed it worked better when my hair was clean and if I damped my hair a little it worked well as well I made sure to use a used edge brush that was rough and not super soft

I think they hair type slight different because I remember saweetie glued edge fixer did not lay her hair down and I love it I touch up with a lil bit of water and it lays , I just got this edge control today and will be trying soon

From what I see, it wasn’t applied correctly. In her videos she applies a lot of pressure when it come to rubbing it in until dry. You lightly rubbed it. That rub makes a HUGE difference you HAVE to rub it hard until dry that’s the main point of it

I thought it was me. I even contacted the company they said that the product couldn't be hot. I live in n.c its very 🔥, I asked if I should put in the fridge cause other than that it will be hot. theh said no, they said you can't have any products in your hair before hand. so inwaahed my hair retired it after keeping the a.c on for a min and still it didn't work. i thought it was just me I thought the heat ruined it in transit. but I guess it wasn't the case

Its not good to mix water with most edge controls. The water will keep it from holding correctly. Always best to add edge controls to dry edges.

It looks like you have oil in your hair. It said apply to clean hair. Oil and water don't mix. You said yourself it's an oil based product so if you put it on top of oil or moisturizer it won't hold

I've been trying to find the perfect edge control for the hot Trini sun and they just can't unless I use some strong gel on top😪. Have you considered trying the Adan edge control? They have different ones for different hair textures I believe, I keep seeing it popping up on my IG

Wow, I’m surprised so many people aren’t getting good results with this! I am on my 3rd jar, and my daughters and I love it! I have 4C hair, and my twins both have 4A/4B. You really do have to rub it with your finger until it dries, because the brush just doesn’t work the same.

Didn’t work for me at all. It took forever to dry so I was rubbing forever. Smelled like cheap cologne. It took so long to dry that I had to use my blow dryer on cool to help it set. Put a scarf on to help it lay down and all this effort was in vain. Hair curled up within minutes and yes I did a second layer. I gave this product about 2-3 tries. Style factor or edge booster works better. This product if anything does feel moisturizing like a pomade with light hold. I feel like people are lying about this working.
