Curlsmith is a protein treatment + conditioner while olaplex is a bonding treatment not meant to condition the hair (look at the ingredients). Curlsmith will have effects you can see and feel because it’s a conditioner and olaplex makes changes on a molecular level that you wouldn’t be able to see without a microscope - you definitely can’t see the hair bonding, which is totally different from clumping. Yes olaplex 3 is the take home weaker maintenance product that you use in between salon visits until your stylist can give you 1&2. Olaplex 3 doesn’t compare to the 1&2 combination. Curlsmith actually replenishes protein so shouldn't be used often just for styling. Too much protein will wreck a low porosity head of hair if you do it too often. I decided to have a cosmetologist to purchase no. 1& 2 for me. I noticed a big difference but u should only use 1&2 once a month. I use the rest of olaplex once a week. It definitely bonds the hair and strengthens it. I heard good things about curlsmith but I doubt if I will try it because I'm to in love with olaplex.

I couldn’t find this bond curl salve on the curl Smith website or Amazon but did find on More.com website thank goodness as I already purchased Olaplex no.3 but not happy about price for such a small bottle! Anyway glad I found it as I watched a couple bloggers like yourself so I can analyse the difference between the Curlsmith and Olaplex products. Thank you 🥳🥂💃🏾👍🏽💪🏾🇬🇧 Definitely buying Curlsmith next time 👍🏽

I saw these products on Bianca Renee channel but I loved your video and how detailed you were Kim, you’ve me convinced that the bonding treatment works cause we’ve the same curl pattern and I’m low porosity! Thanks for this video

Idk a lot about my natural hair and trying to learn since I’ve always kept it straight since i was young. I know it’s high porosity for sure but do you know if curlsmith is okay to try on more heat damaged hair?

First of all, Happy New Year frens! Second, the Curlsmith ingredients are plants Olaplex is not as far as I know. I knew about sulfide bonds, but not the other two. This sounds so good and will help a lot with length retention. I am excited!

I was a HUGE fan of Olaplex. We used it on clients whenever their hair needed some serious revival and it always did it's thing! But now??? Baby! I will certainly try this Curlsmith line! I was eyeing this brand already, but your review has me INTRIGUED!!! Watch out now! Lol thank you for being so detailed and thorough in sharing your thoughts! Happy New Year! 💖

Beautiful hair! Don’t over complicated it. Based on the comments, most of the girls don’t understand high-low porosity🤦🏽♀️. If you have colored hair (light auburn, blonde, etc…) lean on Olaplex 0&3. Colored hair needs moister and hydration. If you add protein, you need to immediately add condition and keep conditioning to add the moister back.

Never tried the olapex but I bought the curlsmith one and I love how manageable it made my hair.
@tatianaragland40073 жыл бұрын
Curlsmith is so overhyped! Like their products are just okay. Nothing special especially at their pricetag. None of their stuff is worth it in my opinion
@KimberlyCherrell3 жыл бұрын
It’s all I use on my hair really and ppl love how my hair has been recently so I’d say the hype is VERY much so worth it. If you can’t afford it that’s fine but their products are certainly worth the hype. It’s vegan and cruelty free with no harmful ingredients. Not many brands can say that.

hey FRENNN so I wish I would have seen this video sooner I just tried olapex today! but watching this video makes me think that olaplex stretches your curls. I only say that because I noticed my curls were more stretched but it felt good and stronger an your left side looked more stretched to me. im definitely going to try out curl smith because olaplex definitely isn't giving enough product

Please help me girl - so I'm in moisture overload I saw that you used the aphogee protein treatment - do you reckon I can use the curlsmith treatment to correct this? Or should I use the aphogee to "reset" and the curlsmith to maintain?? 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Love you Fran but u kinda rushed applied the olaplex

I promise I didn’t... pls don’t confuse the editing to fit the video with my application process. I applied them the same exact way. I may even show you all LIVE On Amazon. I was SHOOK

Thank you for doing this video i was just about to buy the olapex but now I will buy the curlsmith product. I was curious if it would help with my hair. I do protein treatments to balance my moisturizing treatments.
@anonymouse78772 жыл бұрын
The olaplex 3 is supposed to be used with olaplex 1, not water. Don't know if that made a diff.
@shemcg78303 жыл бұрын
💫 Nice to see that you’re living a well-balanced ⚖️ (moisture = protein) hair life, Kim! 👧🏾 Ha! Great video 👍🏾👍🏾 ✨

Neither one of the products are protein treatments but they both contain protein to bind to the hair. That’s the only way to restore bonds.

You can use both just use them every other wash day
@samanthajones30493 жыл бұрын
These are two different products. I just don't understand why Curlsmith ia insisting that KZbinrs compare these.... Curlsmith is a protein product. Olaplex is not.
@cfoster68043 жыл бұрын
Marketing. It's a way for them to get it in people's head that they are like Olaplex. The company themselves can't say that because they will get sued since Olaplex has a patent on the active ingredient so Curlsmith pays people to say it for them. Curlsmith one is just a glorified protein treatment.
