This pattern is one of the absolute best for sea run brown trout, as well as the monster native brown trout that reside in Lake Thingvallavatn.
As you all know, the original Black Ghost by Herb Welch was tied with a feather wing like most streamers in those days. Over the years the pattern has evolved quite a bit from the original, both material wise and the colors.
Although the original color scheme, black, white and yellow, is till very much valid, the Black Ghost Olive is a great pattern for brown trout, native or sea run.
This is a fairly easy pattern and one that's definitely worth having in your box.
