@TheFinalGoose Gouken and Akuma's teacher was Goutetsu, who Akuma killed long ago. Fusion isnt in Street Fighter, lol. Anyway on the SF Wiki it says "Oni is in fact, Akuma who has lost control of his power and is now an actual demon instead of just being referred as one, which confirms that he has transcended humanity." Also says that "Note: This character should not be mistaken as Shin Akuma, even though both have very close similarities to each other"

@The6thRedWolf I agree with that. You can't go in the air with viper when Oni is on the ground. You have to approach with your ground footsies and thunder knuckle spacing.

@Quebert69 I'm actually using Oni too, yesturday I was ranked 7th in the world leader-boards for Xbox (Haven't been on it today). Oni can't exactly shut her down before she starts her shenanigans, this video showed that he did, I know this, but I don't think you could go by this match. If the opponent viper stopped jumping towards eita then maybe more would of happened on Vipers behalf.

@The6thRedWolf I'm not blaming anybody period. I agree Eita did very well. But Oni can shut her shenanigans down before she gets them started. s.hp beats all burn kicks clean, c.hp will trade with 'em if you smell a cross up burn kick. I'm not saying it's a 7-3 or anything, but I'd say it's a 5.5/4.5 right now. It's still early in the life of AE, so the matchup could change next week, it's just my thoughts on it right now being that I'm using Oni. (Not that i'm a great Oni or anything)

@AzumangaFan13 Oni is not stronger than Shin Akuma actually....but yes he is a different, "what if version" of Akuma if he gave into the Satsui No Hado and let it control him completley, rather Shin Akuma is him having full control over the Satsui No Hado and being able to manipulate it freely.

@Quebert69 I don't think Oni counters Viper at all. Vipers Burning kicks won't get hit if they do cross up/ instant burn kicks. Eita just did very well, that's all. When Viper starts the mix-ups Oni is in the same situation as most of the cast. Don't blame the character, blame the player.

@UserX03 It's just the way the language is nowadays. Words like rape, murdered, slaughtered etc. have become watered down to describe someone getting beat badly at something, or the like. When you say stuff like "That guy fell like the Twin Towers on 9/11" that memory is still fresh enough in people's minds that some people may get offended. Just my two cents But anyway, this is Street Fighter and Eita's Oni is just too swift...

@SheltonShenanigans I think Viper takes a lot of skill to master. She and Fuerte are all about knocking you on your ass and mixing up attacks. Oni just seems like Godmode in a can right now.

@Zetsubou2k9 Shin Akuma destroyed a comet and normal akuma destroyed an island and a submarine....shin destroyed trees and went in a volcano. And Oni is being controlled by the Satsui No Hado while Shin controls in to the fullest extent- its the same reason that Ryu is stronger than Evil Ryu in 3rd Strike.

@Ravenex2 akuma owns oni. i know tier lists are not out yet, but im thinking it could be 7-3 akuma because akuma can break oni's zoning capabilities easily and characters with good to excellent oki game owns oni, who lacks wakeup options to say the least, and akuma has the BEST oki game in sf4 by far.

@hune182 true on the easy play, but there is tons of people who wanted evil ryu and shin akuma, and alot of akuma players have dropped akuma for oni and others are playing these becuz of the "evil" and yes twins are played alot too. I'm sure tho in time we will see you stays and who goes again just like the first release of SSF4.

Hai ragione: Viper è difficilissima da usare al meglio, ma a me sta antipatico proprio come personaggio! Shin Gouki (qui stranamente chiamato "Oni") è molto più ispirato e sicuramente dall'aspetto di un guerriero: non si può vedere una donna combattere con occhiali da sole, tallieur aderente e tacchi a spillo, quindi merita di fare quella fine! ;)

Oni counters viper, imo. His s.hp beats burn kicks clean all day every day. couple that with great footsies, a dp, fireball, and good pressure, it's gonna be a hard fight for viper players.

@UserX03 Rape and murder are general terms. Your examples are specific examples of fairly recent events that just sound like they are meaning to offend. It's not a good comparison. Nevertheless, while it sucks when a real person gets raped or murdered, the use of these words in these instances is just something that came up over time. Gotta have tough skin or just stay away from areas where the dialogue is common.
