I could not even put myself in the situations that you have lived through. I am glad that we had crossed paths in our life to meet you in person. I am glad to call you a friend and remember for every shadow in life there are warm lights that cast far greater than any darkness in this world. Even if that darkness starts as a small shadow. To step past and threw the darkness not knowing where your two feet may rest. Eventually the shadow that once was unknown is now far behind you, looking back at the grim path you had once walked, the only steps that matter are the ones that you will take not the ones you have already taken. Those steps shows the true nature and the only steps your son will ever see.
