Douglas Murray is brilliant, a speaker and writer of truth, and a very erudite, cultured man. His three books "The Strange Death Of Europe", "The Madness Of Crowds" and "The War On The West" are all superb, he's a voice of common sense in a dark world. He has shown particular courage in the wake of the 7th October 2023 atrocities. Good to see him win this award.

Like Douglas I am a Scot. I was in Jerusalem 1-6 October 2024. I left Jerusalem around 12 p.m. before the Sabbath shut down to Tel Aviv for my flight back to Crete where I was staying for several weeks. I'm a Catholic and I wear a large Crucifix around my neck. Jewish people were coming up to me thanking me for being there. I made several KZbin videos on my site displaying my love for my Jewish brothers and sisters at Frank Dougan and DJ Frank Dougan. I wrote an obituary in the Jerusalem Post several years ago for my dear friend Jack Marks entitled "Death of a Glasgow Jew" and I promised that I would return to Jerusalem to recite the Jewish prayer for the dead which I did at The Wall and at Yad Vashim. I'm a writer not as great as Douglas, however my love for Israel and Jews is firmly established in the eyes of God. He knows my feelings. I'm in Portugal as I write this only because flights to Tel Aviv are quite tricky and usually one has to change at other airports. I'm an elderly chap now and I want to go back to Israel as I feel my experience and knowledge would be an advantage to all of Israel and her wonderful children. Much of my work is on Independent Academia with my name. Regardless of my years I am fit and if need be drive an ambulance although I was a professional club DJ world wide and an excellent presenter for radio and TV. I met a chap today and told him I was trying to get a flight from Portugal to Israel but it was difficult, he replied is it not dangerous to go there, I replied "Not any more dangerous than Glasgow".
