I agree, I thought the Faroe Islands would be a neat place to visit, but I find it repugnant that in this modern era they still slaughter a few hundred pilot whales every year. Still, they've managed to produce one of the premier voices on the planet, I'll give them a pass for one whale if she needs to gargle in whale oil - lol.

+Joe G .... what's with the millions of cows, pigs etc your and my country both slaughter - a number far higher than the fishing quota of Denmark and Norway together! Whales have no natural enemies and the fishing prohibitions that were in place for decades worldwide have given them the chance to breed and repopulate their numbers. It is now mostly the indigenous population of Greenland that hunts whales, one by one, feeding an entire village with methods used for hundreds of years instead of the mass hunt that comes to mind when we think about whales and the modern fishing equipment that almost eradicated them from Earth!
