The title means "spellbound". You could imagine a viking maiden sing like this, since the faoese language is very close to what the vikings themselves called "tongue of the danes" (aka "old western norse")... It almost sounds as if she "galdra", sings magic sounds and words, in answer to another "galdra", a spell that is binding her heart... Greetings from the land of the Danes, Denmark...

And I am so grateful. Eivor was "discovered" and encouraged to come to Canada by Bill Bourne. She was only 19 yrs old the first year at Canmore and a bit nervous on stage but wow. Words can‘t express how much i love this... and the woman performing it... All i can say is that i never feel as alive as when listening to this... and that it literally has saved me from losing hope and my mind a couple of times... Thank you... Beautiful... 😘

Thanks H. Fenix. I guess you‘re right... i do have „company“, may be not the right one? I‘m certainly not MY best company... but there you go... Be good and take care...

@@eugenef.vidocq7186 Maybe a spiritual group could help...you'd meet new & often interesting people, such as Zen Buddhism, Tai Chi, Yoga, Eckhart Tolle's or the like. You seem spiritual and very aware of your own situation. These are not easy times but you never know. Again, best of luck and take care.

I want to comment more about this video and performance, as everything in it right... Simple black background, some microphone stands to hint that it is a stage. This young woman dressed up somewhat like any player in opera or consert orchestra. Only with her drum and voice doing something different indeed. I think this "set" gives room for what she does. Nothing else is needed. As I was a professional dancer 10 years in my youth and worked with the most talented and dedicated modern ballet people in Finland, I know how much work and dedication it takes to do something like this. Later in life I spended 10 years playing with cameras and I could boldly say that I am an award winning documentarist. So that is why comments on video too. It is for sure the best version of this song. The way it is performed here, the correct "arena" would be any big operahouse or conserthall in the world. It makes me so happy to see something like this.

No, I believe the correct arena would be the hills of the Faroe Islands, or any hills really, a large fire, with native people gathered around it, watching in awe, as she connects them with the world of Gods and sprites, giving them the power to get through another battle, invasion or even just another day. That’s what this music does to me.
