I sailed on the Rotterdam in 1964 as it was completing an around-the-world cruise. Wonderful experience! It's still one of my all-time favorite ships.

Well, you were lucky in those days. I worked my butt of in the dining room for a few guilders a month. Nevertheless, it was a great experience. Thanks for your reaction.

Een jaar lang op gewerkt, wat een pracht schip, zoveel goede herinneringen. De klant was koning, hier heb ik geleerd te werken.

Thank you for posting this. I was wondering whether you had exclusive access to the ship since no one seems to be present till about 3:30 in.

It is a shame that it costed 220 million euro to renovate. This same money was really mend to build and renovate houses.

And yet how many have housed within her bringing in tourist dollars?
@sabresphere-7992 Жыл бұрын
@@MrKit9 Exactly, instead of the money ending up in housing corporation top dogs' pockets, plus it deserves to be preserved like any other wonderful piece of art. Beautiful as well as practical.
