EJ 11 : "Broken Arpeggios 1" from Taffanel and Gaubert 17 Daily Exercises

What are your most-played EJs and the least-played EJs? This EJ 11 is actually one of the least played EJs from my practice regime over the years only because it’s so long, haha! But playing through the entire EJ 11 made me realize how valuable and helpful this one is! #worthdoingit
Made this video last night while I was unpacking and packing at the same time as I was home for about half a day between tours. Hi Jasmine, first of all I want to thank you taking so much time to make us (mostly) amateur flutists aware, how a professional flutist will practice those exercises. When I was young I have been believing the goal is to play those as fast as possible. I am also very much impressed of the sound of your recording - as I am struggling a bit to record myself sufficiently. Could you please tell us a little bit about your recording equipment also? Which microphone do you use? How far is it positioned from you flute (1m? more or less). Is it positioned more in direction of your Foot joint, to the middle of your flute or to the head joint? Those informations would be very helpful for me...as your videos already are. Thanks a lot!

We're so blessed to see this vdieo performed and taught by a really brilliant professional flautist. Every piece of your thought and advice can really inspire and encourage us. Only one tiny suggestion about this video, the flute recording is clear and beautiful; however your voice is little soft and difficult to hear clearly when you speak. Maybe a wireless microphone or subtitle will help. It's a pity not to hear your sharing thought clearly. Thank you again for all the inspiring performance.
