In this video I feature Nick's 1997 Subaru Legacy GT swapped with a the RARE EJ207 STI engine! Nick turned his 1997 Subaru Legacy into a perfect JDM Tuner Car, right down to his USDM Spec Genome axleback exhaust, Nardi STI steering wheel and early version jdm wrx wagon seats!

How hard was this swap? How many parts had to be fabricated to make it work?

Chris Silva major things that needed to be fabbed were the wiring harness- gotta get a wiring harness from a 2 liter wrx, given my motors a 2.0 liter. Only other thing that needed to be custom fabbed was the exhaust- literally all the other parts were plug and play. Only things i can think of were assorted piping under the hood

What is the transmission and the diff?

Boris Mitrev trans is a version 5 jdm sti RA 5-speed, and diff is a r160 out of a 06 wrx

Really nice sleeper car. Other than the exhaust noise, at first glance you would only think it's an older subaru with aftermarket wheels. I'd love to see more videos like this (perhaps focusing on some of the 86 platform cars from your group to fit in with the theme of the channel). One thing I would like to suggest is having more footage of the car itself. For example, there was only a few seconds of footage of the interior without the two of you in it. Would have liked to have seen some more on the upgrades he's done inside the car.

George Butz 280 whp roughly, and bought the car for $3,000 6 years ago with 146k miles, spend at least 6k on the swap, the car has 246k miles on it currently 😎👌🏻
