Used to do this every time I had a different truck from the hire company. It's pure laziness and neglect. Unpleasant job to do but it's satisfyingly if you have any sympathy for anything mechanical. The most shit I shovelled out was a quarter of a ton from the front of a 2002 Heil Big Bite on a Volvo FM12 chassis, the ejector plate was stopping nearly 2ft short of the ram stop. A colleague had a similar truck with a McNeilus body, the build-up of shit in front of the ejector actually caused a massive hydraulic oil leak to occur. Get in there once a week and get the crap shovelled out, it takes a few minutes. And make sure you have the keys in your pocket!

Andy Preston every once in awhile they do a fleet inspection if you dont then youll get yor ass chewed out or ruin the truck

I know!!! "Driver Abuse" they call it. Best one, and most laughable one I had, on the very same Volvo/Heil truck I mentioned earlier was the worn wiper blades, due to "driver using them to clear ice from windscreen". The inspection was carried out in August (England).......!!!! WTF?

I've been interested in dustcarts since a kid I'm a driver now and I'm 26 and I've seen where the body not been cleaned out the ejector blade stopping 2 foot short and it is absolute poor maintenance it's fire risk and caused damage to all areas of the truck
