In this one we are just going to look over the car and prepare it the best we can for inspection. Hopefully it will pass the MOT! Music: / nothing-lasts

Ooh this chap's a proper engineer... If I'd done it there would have been a car fire ending episode one (and the series) in 4 minutes. I'm jealous.

Enjoyed your videos. I hope you do a full Volvo restoration because I like Volvo very much, unfortunately it is an expensive car and spare parts are difficult to get and expensive in my country.

Nice to see your Volvo 740 GL project! I had to get my Volvo roadworthy so I could transfer my name to my Volvo 740 to pay the car registration cheaper. My project is pretty slow but it's in Volvo OZ. It's VOLVER PESTANYA - VOLVO 740 GL 1989 PROJECT. :)

Thank you! Thanks for checking my channel out :) Just looked up your car project on the forum. Looks really nice! You don't get to experience the "joy" of working on rusty undercarriages that has been through 30 salty winters hehe 😝

@@ejoautovideos there are few rust chips but 1989 with zinc coating, no sign of major rust around the car. :) Looking forward to see the paint work and I'm surprised you have bought a manual transmission gear! 👍

thank you for rescuing this old car. I have a 1988 740, still like driving my "baby". we have undercoating to prevent rusting, it was applied when the car is new. would cleaning out those rust and reapply undercoating help prevent more rusting ?
@ejoautovideos4 жыл бұрын
Correct, if the undercoat has been compromised and moisture is trapped underneath resulting in rust forming, it is a good idea to clean that area of old undercoat and loose rust and then reapplying a good quality undercoat. Thank you for watching, have a good day! :)
4 жыл бұрын
lol. "we have undercoating" yes. we have it aswell here in norway and sweden. it doesnt work like that. its not a 1 time job. lol. from 1988 to 2019 it may need 10-15 undercoats

I like to watch your videos in TV with my father. I know that is too expensive but I think you must be more careful with the brake system, for example clean the cilinder, for it move better. Brakes are really important investment!
